phat mitten basslines, a kitten learns the triangle, and true love endures... My approach to the video was to build a storyline around the lyrics using mainly the Instagram feeds from the members of the band (over 40 of their pics are represented in some manner in the video). I used their online presence elsewhere (Twitter, Youtube, blog interviews, etc.) to help fill in the gaps. You can view a 'behind the scenes' collection of all of the band's references and photos that drove the video over here: http://im-not-through.tumblr.com/ This video made the top 10 selected for OK GO's official music video contest and won "Best Concept" at the 2013 Ibiza Music Video Festival. We're so thrilled to be a finalist in the OK Go Saatchi Video Challenge! Thanks for all the views, likes and love! RobertoWorks jumped at the opportunity to make a music video for OK Go. A big fan of the band, we were motivated by the legacy of music videos that OK Go has produced. Utilizing stop frame animation, illustrations and working with graphic designers and artist, RobertoWorks tells a story of a frustrated artist "possessed" by the band's single.

The Los Angeles quartet known as OK GO has gone from being a rare young light on a major label to arguably the world’s most bleeding edge independent outfit. The viral music video for the recorded version of “This Too Shall Pass” off of the album “Of the Blue Colour of the Sky” was recently remixed in Dolby 5.1 Surround as part of an upcoming CES announcement from Dolby. SoundWorks Collection talks with band members Tim Nordwind and Damian Kulash about their recent collaboration with John Loose, Sr. Manager, Production of Dolby and album producer Dave Fridmann. About the Music Video: The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The “machine” was designed and built by the band, along with members of Syyn Labs over the course of several months. Directed by James Frost, OK Go and Syyn Labs. Produced by Shirley Moyers. There is also an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at the warehouse setup here and a great making of video that you should check out.
