FCC Industrial, the FCC Group firm specializing in industrial projects, has the capacity, the human resources and the technology needed to design, build, operate and maintain industrial projects all over the world. That includes liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage facilities, regasification plants, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage facilities and industrial plants. Experience FCC Industrial has a wealth of experience in building liquefied natural gas tank terminals. FCC Industrial is also building an LNG storage tank at Tahkoluoto Harbour at Pöri, on the western coast of Finland. The client is Skangass, the Nordic countries’ leading LNG operator. FCC Industrial’s Contribution to These Projects FCC Industrial brings projects like this a great deal of added value. It has a fine team, and its proven experience enables it to offer EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) terms. Safety is a priority at FCC Industrial. FCC embraces its obligations and commitments in social, environmental and human rights activities. Rafael Fernández: So it behaves like an industry leader, by which I mean that it’s a global, proactive company with an unshakeable respect for sustainability. Tanks Tanks are installed in the industrial areas of harbours for the logistically strategic location, to make it easier to transport and distribute the product to wherever it is needed. Natural gas is shipped in by methane tankers and stored in liquid form in regasification plants before treatment, because its volume in the liquid state is 600 times less than in the gaseous state. 600 Times Less Volume. Construction Process These are full containment tanks. Each tank is built to have an inner compartment of cryogenic steel (with a 9% nickel content) surrounded by an outer tank made up of a steel sheath and a pretensioned concrete wall. Tank Use LNG tanks can be put to dual use, because they can be assigned to provide the general population with gas service (involving regasification and injection into the mains) or to supply industry. Natural gas tanks are a forward-looking facility for the world, and one in which FCC Industrial has a lot to offer. FCC Industrial is on the cutting edge of projects like this, whose construction calls for great knowledge, experience and a portfolio of finished projects.

Any economy which compromises the well-being of the planet or future generations children is not the type of economy that we want for our future. Rowan Gentleman-Sylvester Member of SFU-350 (a chapter of 350.org) speaks against the reasoning for Canada to keep giving the largest polluters of the planet a social license to continue their activity. The number 350 means climate safety: to preserve a livable planet, scientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current level of 400 parts per million to below 350 ppm. Yet our elected leaders for the most part, continue to not listen to the warning as we all pay the price.

Dr. David Suzuki speaks at a "Stand Up For Science" rally in Vancouver BC. Things sure get hot in this presentation folks! Dr. Suzuki speaks of the importance of science in this rapidly changing world to ensure decisions are made wisely in affairs effecting our environment & the well-being of future generations of humanity. We are currently undermining the very things which keep us alive and healthy. Decisions must be made on facts, not on the wishes of private interest groups as we are now altering the chemistry, the physics and the biology of the biosphere on a geological scale . Dr. Suzuki tells it like it is accusing our government of "willful blindness". By muzzling scientists & restricting research our government is committing an intergenerational crime, affecting the well-being of humanity for many generations to come..
