This past weekend, Oct. 20th-23rd, marked the celebration of the first annual Food Network Delicious Food Show at the Better Living Centre – and while it was year 1 and they were still sorting out some red tape, they did an AWESOME job. A cross between being at bar, restaurant and nightclub, every emotion was sought after and achieved. The décor was over the top, colorful and welcoming. The energy was vibrant and everyone was having a blast with all the yummy food and booze flowing. Showcased restaurants included La Societe, Brassaii, Oyster Boy, St. Phillips, Morocco Chocolate, as well as smaller suppliers that, as attendees, we were thrilled to discover. I was lucky enough to attend opening night with Stella Yu – www.FoodJunkieChronicles.com - as well as go back to spend some one on one time with the show’s VIP Host and organizer, Mike Chalut (ya, that amazingly charming guy that we all listen to on Proud FM…☺). Just for the record, any man who offers me wine within 5 minutes of meeting is a star in my books! Check out our adventure at the 1st Annual Food Network Delicious Food Show – I am already looking forward to next year’s!! www.DeliciousFoodShow.com www.FoodJunkieChronicles.com

here is a composition I put together using Tim Burton's 'Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy' as inspiration. This is how I would perceive the score to a Movie for it if it existed.

Oyster Boy is a Tim Burton famous character, he wrote a poem in which he said: They buried him quickly in the sand by the sea -sighed a prayer, wept a tear- and they were back home by three. A cross of greay driftwood marked Oyster Boy's grave. Words writ in the sand promised Jesus would save. But his memory was lost with one high-tide wave. As oyster boy resurrected in my room, he started cruising around my place discovering how does it look like. Everything went quite well until he met this crazy Miss Lemon! He instantly fell in love with her! See what happens when Oyster Boy falls in love with a Lemon!
