About a month after the end of the inaugural festival from May 28th to June 3rd, 2014, POW! WOW! Taiwan teamed up with the Fubon Art Foundation for their annual Very Fun Park. Beginning in July with efforts to repurpose the 1000 spray cans used during POW! WOW! Taiwan, DJ Neff and Paul Ramirez of CANLOVE arduously prepared their iconic flowers in the sub-tropical heat for display at the Songshan Cultural Park. Then in August, POW! WOW! veterans Will Barras and Reach returned for two more 7-story tall murals that captured the attention of passersby in two of the most visited neighbourhoods in Taipei, East District and Ximending. 首屆國際藝術盛會(2014年5月28日至6月3日)舉辦後約一個月,POW! WOW! Taiwan與富邦藝術基金會為了一年一度的粉樂町共同合作。七月初,CANLOVE的DJ Neff 和Paul Ramirez運用了POW! WOW! Taiwan活動結束剩下的1000瓶噴漆空罐,費盡心思重製成具CANLOVE標誌性的亞熱帶花朵並在松山文創園區內展示。而八月份,POW! WOW! 的老手Will Barras及Reach重回台北彩繪了七層樓高的牆面,在熱鬧的東區及西門町吸引了無數路過民眾的目光。 For more, please visit: 獲取更多相關資訊,請點選底下連結: http://www.fubonart.org.tw/veryfunpark2014/ http://www.willbarras.com/ http://www.helloreach.com/ Music by Electro Summit Gun 音樂由”頂級電子手槍“製作 https://zh-tw.facebook.com/ElectroSummitGun Video by The Domain Media 影片由The Domain Media製作 http://www.thedomainmedia.com/ Pilot 空拍操作員 Larry Chen

          • Versace x POW! WOW! Mural by Tristan Eaton

from POW! WOW! Hawaii / Added

POW! WOW! Hawaii has teamed up with California street artist Tristan Eaton to paint a mural for Versace. Centered around the Italian fashion house’s iconic Medusa logo which first made its mark in the fashion world in the ’80s, the mural exhibits Eaton’s use of pastel colors alongside his adept skills with the spray can. Transforming the walls of Kaka’ako into a psychedelic rendition, the legendary logo is further emphasized by Eaton’s pop culture-inspired detailing — looking to formative lines and opaque layering in its vibrant techniques. Supported by Montana Cans, the mural took five days to create using aerosol cans. Video directed by Jonas Maon.

from POW! WOW! Hawaii / Added

POW! WOW! Hawaii is considered by some to be the island’s largest and most expansive gathering of cultural minds. The event which has taken over the once sleepy area of Kaka'ako in Honolulu has welcomed approximately 100 artists to the area in a widespread beautification and education on the world of street art and the process of creativity. Originally founded several years back in Hong Kong, POW! WOW! was brought to Hawaii in hopes of offering a more hands-on approach to exploring art and engaging the community. This year’s artists include Faith47, DAL, Dabs Myla, Askew, Mark Bode, 123KLAN, Rone, Meggs, Yoskay Yamamoto, SLICK, Woes Martin, Roid, Shark Toof, Jeff Soto, Hannah Stouffer, Apex, Poesia and many more. Aside from a local and global roster of artists each plying their trade diligently around the area, several educational initiatives and events have also been put in place including live panel discussions, free art and music schools for the youth, musical events as well as the culmination of the eight day event through a massive block party.
