    Had to move around a bunch of furniture and throw out a bunch of stuff this weekend so I just rendered some boxes with dynamics. Physical renderer and global illumination makes for great lighting but there was some flicker in the GI pass. I emphasized it further with some extra flicker thinking maybe it could be a flickering light in the scene? Anyway, just a quick render for the day.

        I love Blade Runner and I think it's cinematography is genius. I wasn't after total accuracy on this but instead the goal was to try to replicate the mood and feel of the lighting from this particular scene. This was rendered in C4D with the Physical Renderer.

          A one man CGI animated short. Made at 3D College Denmark by me. Round Trip was made in Cinema 4D, with compositing done in After Effects, and it was rendered using the built-in physical renderer. This thing would have taken maybe 2 months on my workstation, but I was fortunate enough to have access to a render farm that cut the rendertime down to just two days.                   Hi Everyone. Here´s a project I did for a short film for Carl Schröter https://vimeo.com/lrac Initially it was planned to make a photo real sequence where the UFO is built up bit by bit. I already had built the entire UFO in shiny 3D when the decision was made that something else was needed. http://www.silverwing-vfx.de/Download/UFO_3D_01.jpg I began to trace all edges of my 3D model with splines and built my own animatable wire frame. The Cartoon Renderer was not an option as the splines had to be animated in a very controlled matter. So I used the Edge to spline command quite a lot and rebuilt the contours of the UFO using Splines. For the Animation of the splines I dropped them into a Sweep Nurbs object and animated the length parameter. The Paper was rendered inside C4D with the Physical render. Some thicks with the Displace Deformer as extensive Texturing including C4D noise patterns were used to make the paper look reel and layered. I also designed a font especially for the sequence that is animatable in After Effects. http://www.silverwing-vfx.de/Download/Moon_Font.jpg After deciding on a camera movement inside 3D the C4D Camera was exported to After Effects. There I matched the animations of my wire frame that I rendered with a static camera before and the text that I exported in After Effects as masks from Illustrator in 3D with the animated paper.
