Dedicated to the biggest beach baby i know, miss, and LOVE...Aissa (1984-2012) #missingaissa filmed using gopro hero3 black edition and iphone 4 island of Oahu Hawaii December 6-12, 2012 music: rihanna - lost in paradise (unapologetic) video editing: melinda video & photography: melinda (gopro hero3 black edition 1440 - 40fps - w - standard housing) time lapse - 1/1 sec & 1/0.5 sec) contributing video: avery (iphone4) instagram: #mavhawaii2012 #missingaissa Locations: Waikiki, Punalu'u, Ehukai Beach Park (home to the banzai pipeline often referred to as the best wave on the planet) i do not hold any rights to the music used My friends and I embarked on this short 5.5 day vacation not knowing what to expect and not having planned much of anything at all. Being sick, I packed my medication and special needs…went with it. We could have planned for this trip all we wanted but the truth is, it could have never been as perfect as what had actually unfolded. Everything from the first accommodation we booked to the people we met, just fell into place. As if it was all Divine Intervention - Destiny. Verolyn said it best, “it was like we were just playing some role on a movie that was being narrated..and we carried on like we were taken care of”. #LostAndFound

View on a map and more from this trip at http://www.vmap.com/tour/28 Driving through Pahoa, we found the flea market/farmers market and had a drink at the Kava bar! This stuff was recommended, because its interesting, good for you and makes your tongue numb. The music is Sunday by Anuhea, a song I heard on the radio there by a Hawaiian Pop star.

Hiking Piei Makai on Oahu, Hawaii on November 13th, 2011. The route consists of hiking up the main Pu'u Piei trail, turning seaward (makai), and then descending the last ridge spur nearest to the ocean. Along the way are narrow ridge sections, craggy notches, and extremely steep climbs and down-climbs. The video footage was captured using the new GoPro HD Hero 2. from Darcy Bevens Added 381 1 0

Punaluu on a sunny day is contrasted with Punaluu overrun by storm surge in 2007 as Tropical Storm Flossie passes the Big Island. (The storm generates excellent waves for surfers at Pohoiki the next day!) Huge waves at Punaluu and Kawa illustrate why Civil Defense warning signs and beach closures should be heeded. Video shot & edited by UHH Center for the Study of Active Volcanoes (CSAV). Visit our "Natural Hazards Hawaii" web site for more info on hurricanes. http://www.hilo.hawaii.edu/~nat_haz
