Another of Richard's Liminal Perspectives exploration of abandoned areas of past importance that have now been re-developed as public walkways and cycle routes. This video has recently been unearthed from exploration limbo, due to one reason or another that was apparent at the time, and should accompany the video on the Grantham Line, where this journey ends. Thanks to Richard for the initiative to venture out there and for making it interesting, despite slaving away most of the other time at a zombifying job.+ More details
Client: Mabey Bridge Ltd Brief: The aim was to succinctly show how much work it took to replace the Loughor Viaduct over 15 hours. The video needed to have relevant facts explaining specifics about how such a massive replacement actually came to fruition. How We Did It: We were supplied with timelapse footage and it was important in the editing to make sure that the footage showed the movement of viaduct, but also appropriately place facts about what was happening. It was essential to make use of clear typography, so that it fitted the Mabey brand. Delivery Method: This video was exported to MP4 file and uploaded to Mabey Bridge's YouTube channel to be accessed worldwide.+ More details

The closing track from the debut album SATELLITES.01 (Vesterbrother Records), 'Sale of the Century' was shot by a first-time Danish Director, Martin Bubandt. The song explores notions of a loss of identity, as homogeneity levels our world in the name of progress. And the promo dramatizes this through the dreams of a lost childhood - children inhabiting a decaying space littered with the trappings of adulthood. On the 8th of April 1961, the last steam train ran the mile-long stretch of what once was the Great Midland and Western Railway to Liffey Junction from the Broadstone railway terminus. The intervening fifty years has allowed nature to reclaim this inaccessible green corridor and it remains Dublin's hidden secret garden.+ More details
I have finally put together my first time-lapse sequence. All the shots were done with my DIY dolly rail, Nikon D300s and MX2 controller from Dynamic Perception. I was testing my rail with different movements, different lighting conditions, different intervals, editing techniques etc. I still have a few improvements to make and I am busy designing my 2nd DIY rail to keep costs as low as possible. This rail will also be available to the consumer in the near future at a really affordable price. Locations include the Kalahari desert, Cape Town (Bloubergstrand and Hugenote kop), Pretoria (Railway and Voortrekker Monument) and a private farm in the North West province. All of this were part of my testing phases. The blue lights on the Voortrekker Monument was in support of World Diabetes Day, the global awareness campaign for 2011. At the moment I am working on my next big project to be titled “Storms in Africa”. I am available to shoot any motion controlled time-lapse clips for you or your corporate needs. All footage available for licensing as stock.
