Award winning and Grammy-nominated filmmakers Mo Fitzgibbon and Robert W. Walker of Walker Fitzgibbon TV Film take home the Dances With Films Audience Award for talented singer/songwriter Joanna Tepper's newest music video "Let's Save The Children". The video premiered at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA on Friday, May 30th. The company also shot and produced a rock-doc on the making of Joanna's album "Off the Record". The song “Let’s Save The Children” was written by the newest member of the Tepper dynasty, Joanna, along with her father, longtime live rocker and singer/songwriter Warren "Mighty Jo" Tepper and her grandfather Sid Tepper, who wrote over forty songs for the King of Rock N Roll himself, Elvis Presley. The track was produced by Sham and Motesart and mixed by Grammy-award winning producer/engineer, Richard "Segal" Huredia. (Eminem) The visuals for the music video were brought to the realest of life from the daring vision of Executive Producer/Director Mo Fitzgibbon and the creative talents of Director/Director of Photography Robert W. Walker. Veteran producer Jackie Tepper who tapped the dynamic pair says, “They made the music video with deep emotion and passion”. The video "Let's Save The Children" opens with an intimate shot of a poverty-stricken but angel-faced little girl sleeping in a bed of glowing red flowers and dreaming about fairies in a beautiful, safe and happy place where she is given all of the love and attention that every child deserves. The story takes a dramatic turn as we see our artist, Joanna, a fairy guardian (Alice Levine) and a protective messenger (Kody Mooney), who use their powerful abilities to heal as they enter reality. They become mortals and set out to rescue abandoned children from dirty alleys and dingy urban blight and transport them to a setting where there is no fear, no hunger and no loneliness. The concept for the music video came from research into true cases of children who are destitute in America. Walker and Fitzgibbon shot stark re-enactments of homeless and impoverished children abandoned in the streets. Children from all nationalities were cast for this film. "We envisioned the video from the powerful lyrics of this song. Joanna's words were so inspiring, filled with so much wisdom and insight, especially coming from a woman of her young age. I was on board immediately and became so motivated to write this video from the purity and heart of the song itself", says Fitzgibbon. "We have a child, so for us to imagine our daughter living like these kids is heart-wrenching. Being in the richest country in the world, no child should have to live in poverty", says Walker. "There is never a dry eye in the house when the video plays". Walker and Fitzgibbon have produced music videos, specials and broadcast radio show events with Gloria Estefan, Celia Cruz, Shakira, Juanes, Enrique Iglesias, STING, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, and other top artists. They have countless recognitions and awards to their credit. Known for Lifetime Television's Intimate Portrait of Gloria Estefan, they went on to win the NCLR's Alma Bravo Award for 'Outstanding Made for Television Documentary'. They garnered top honors for Gloria Estefan's DVD "Don't Stop", receiving a Grammy nomination in 'Best Long Form' category. They have worked side by side with some of the greatest music producers in the business including, Emilio Estefan, Quincy Jones, and Dick Clark. The company is experienced in writing, producing and directing music videos, documentaries, webisodes, reality television shows, national commercials, specials and much more.
