A cut up micro-view into the interactive rhythm techniques used in the work I've been championing with the mighty World Up family, organization & movement. This video, much like the work, was an improvisational remix of a variety of footage from an official world up video, hand held footage & photos (mostly by me & some by Chino Garcia shooting the "future now nyc" photos) & a seamless blended mix of the youth-based audio works by SpazeCraft One & literally dozens of young people from all over nyc, professional artists remixes of the project iterations & some context of the work in relation to my personal/professional pedagogy in alignment with the World Up mission. All in 5 minutes! lol

                    1. I decided to “remix” my first paper, a personal literacy memoir about my trip to Israel, by creating a short movie. I highlighted different aspects of my trip in the paper, so I divided my movie into those same sections. I put written text from my first and last paragraphs in the beginning and end of the movie in order to tie everything together and get my point across. 2. I chose to make a movie because it is something I enjoy and have experience in. I also had pictures and video clips from my trip that I wanted to use in my project so I thought a short movie would be the perfect way to showcase them. I decided to choose a popular, upbeat Israeli song to play in the background in order to give the movie the same upbeat and energetic feel as my paper, while also bringing more Israeli culture into the project. 3. I think transforming my paper into a movie enhanced the argument that I made in the original paper because I show pictures and video of my actual experience, which really brings the original paper to life. If translation into a new media impacted my perception of the argument made in the original paper at all, it made my perception of the argument stronger.
