When I looked at you, my life made sense. A young man, suffering from PTSD, wakes up to find that his long-term girlfriend leaves him, months after the death of their child, on the most inopportune of days. This is my final project for my Intro Digital Cinematography course for Grad School. Created By: Karen Abad Featuring: Joe Taylor Music By: Piannou

The film is an abstract dream/memory of a boy and his mother, experiencing a difficult time. I did almost everything myself but did get some great help from people around me .

BLOG POST HERE: http://wp.me/p3ggTR-87D Filmed at "Giant's Causeway" in County Antrim, Northern Ireland on the Blackmagic 4K. Hence the title of this piece! Shot at ISO 200,400,800 except the 800 shots I had to leave out because of issues with the image quality. Lots of speckles on it plus the noise is quite ugly at that point. Lenses were the Sigma 18-35 F1.8, Tamron 24-70 F2.8 and Canon 70-200 F4 IS L. Tripod was the Really Right Stuff 5 stage carbon fibre and the new and rather nice, but pricey FH-350 head. Zacuto rig and V-Mount battery set up as detailed on my blog post. The first day I used just the back screen, nightmare. Impossible to judge. Second day was with the Small HD DP7 Pro OLED...SO MUCH EASIER!! Much this isn't that portable and it's quite heavy. Shot in 25p with 180 degree shutter apart from a couple that needed a stop more light and I didn't want to use the 800 so they are at 360. Also my 82mm Variable ND broke when a lens got dropped so some shots have 45 degree shutter. Only the low light shots were wide open, most were stopped down the F5.6 for better quality. The sigma at F1.8 is really rather good !! www.nationaltrust.org.uk/giants-causeway MUSIC COMPOSED BY RICHARD WAGNER SIGRIED'S DEATH & FUNERAL MARCH FROM GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG THE RING CYCLE PERFORMED BY THE APOLLO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA LICENSED FROM PREMIUMBEAT.COM THANKS TO: THE NATIONAL TRUST YANNICK HAUSLER THE UNIVERSITY OF ULSTER CAMILLA LONG ADRIAN HICKEY MERVYN MCKAY HELEN JORGENSEN

Motion graphics piece i created for Vilnius airport. The goal was to show variety of things people can buy there. Also this was a personal challenge for me to use lots of textures in illustration and figuring out a way to animate them. illustration&animation: Other Peter sound design: Sonar Sound Ideas (www.sonar.lt)

http://www.travelbasecamp.com In this episode, the basecampers visit a local boxing gym to learn from the best fighters in Cuba. The national team coach puts them through a rigorous training regime before throwing them into the ring. Sarah chose this activity because females are not allowed to box in Cuba, but there is one woman fighter at this gym, Namibia, who had never sparred with a woman until this day... Hacking the all-inclusive resort concept by treating the resort like a basecamp for your suitcase, but breaking beyond the gates to discover local culture. This is a “DIY” travel blog. A man anxiously practices his proposal to his girlfriend, while the coin operated machine that turns the world is running low on credit. This is a short stop-motion animation that I made in my final year of my BA Animation course at The university of Glamorgan in 2012. The music and sound effects were created by William Serrell. Shot over a few weekends over the course of about 9 months with the help of friends and family, I proposed to my girlfriend Julie. Most of the video was shot with Canon T2i's, time-lapse was recorded with a Panasonic Lumix G5, and the long exposure photography for the hearts and message were shot primarily with a Nikon D90. After my D90 was stolen (at a wedding!), I was able to borrow a D700 and another T2i to finish up the project. Thanks to all the friends and family that helped me propose to Julie; especially Anita, Jenny, Rachel, Pattie, and Charina! I am truly impressed by everyone's ability to keep this thing a secret over the past few months! A special thank you to Francis Villanueva who taught me how to use my camera, ha ha! And an extra special thank you to Kristina Koltunicki and Craig Rinkerman, who took my sprawling vision and made it a much more cohesive and grand story than I could've ever asked for. Song: Springtime by Annuals (simply amazing song!)

Erin thought I was setting the timer on the camera so that we could take a picture together. Little did she know that I had hit the record button instead. :)

                      Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
