Here is a look at a tip submitted to blendernation.com by user mifth. It illustrates how to sculpt hard surface features as in Zbrush. I added a method to reduce poly count and still get comparable results. Here is a link to the original post by mifth on blendernation: http://www.blendernation.com/2013/04/08/trim-brush-in-blender-like-in-zbrush/

Here is the more focused version of the previous UV video (http://youtu.be/tEzIn8eqWLA) where I gave a general overview of the unwrapping process. This one is more focused and descriptive and hopefully more helpful. We'll be using the default unwrap and the project from view functions together to: unwrap two objects separately, join those objects together, arrange the UVs on an image, and export that image as a UV template for use in the texturing process.

I am not going to cover the entire model just enough to get you started using those tools. Here's some shortcuts: Loop Cut: Ctrl+R Knife tool: K Merge verticies: Alt+M You can download the accompanying files here: http://3dblenderstuff.wordpress.com/2012/11/25/modeling-basics-part-3-loop-cut-and-knife-tools/
