                      from Martine Fougeron Added 34 0 0

'Sources and Influences' retraces the diaristic and creative process of my photographic work from 2002 to 2005 with photos and comments in a 16 minute video. I did it when I was at ICP in the General Studies program. It has a lot of technical defects as it was a powerpoint presentation and could never get it to export correctly and some parts are blank or not synchronized.. There are several parts: The first is 'My Vitrine': Revisiting at night my Napoleon the IIIrd Cabinet de Curiosites and beholding family relics and treasured trips. Reconsidering artistic milestones with Rodin, Rilke and Leonardo, commenting on my fascination with sculpture and movement from a very young age. Pondering on the undelying meaning and triggers of contemplating art. I believe art opens new doors to meaning and knowledge. This quest gives pleasure as we are always trying to expand our consicousness. The last 3 minutes of the video is a comment on a photo I took. Unfortunately the photo apears too shortly. I will fix that in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience. The final chapter is my spiritual journey in Tamil Nadu in the dravidia-like temple of Sri Narayani in 2004. It is awfully long. Some parts would have to be redone. But it is a slice of life, and still seems like some of my roots are here. Tell me what you think. Martine
