Just south of the Scottish border lies a quiet village in the heart of Northumberland called Rothbury. This quaint and beautiful village holds an annual celebration of the local folk culture, hosting an array of entertainment such as ceilidh's, folk music, poetry, competitions and the famous Rothbury Highland Pipe Band. The colourful and ever cheerful two day event has been running for the past 39 years, which brings people far and wide to the Coquetdale village to join in on the festivities of folk traditions.

This is my second and sadly last time returning to Electric Forest for awhile, so I can discover new undiscover festivals through my eyes. I had so much fun at Electric Forest this year, and created some awesome memories. This is the first time ever, which I have the pleasure to split into two parts. Part one i used the song, "We Found Love" performed by Lindsey Stirling, in honor of her first visit to Electric Forest. Part two will be release soon.

Music: Nina Simone - Feeling Good (Bassnectar Remix) Words cannot describe the experiences I’ve had at the Double JJ ranch in Rothbury, Michigan over the past 5 years, but it’s time to hang it up. The first time I arrived at the Double JJ, our 3 person group drove our pop-up camper directly into a mud pit and we had to get towed out like a bunch of rookies. After learning multiple hard lessons over the years we finally honed our skills and last summer, we organized a 60+ person group campground comprised of friends from all over the country. As the adage goes, it’s better late than never, so without further adieu here’s my recap of Electric Forest 2014. Sherwood Forest…you will be missed.

Electric Forest 2014 attracted Foresters from all over the country and the world to Rothbury, Michigan to experience four days of music, camping, and art with friends old and new. There is no experience quite like Electric Forest, and if you've been there then you know that you carry a piece of the Forest with you forever! Those of us at Madison House Presents and Insomniac are consistently in awe of the depth and breadth of the Electric Forest community. While firmly rooted in the music that brings us all together, Electric Forest is more than just a music festival: it is a truly collaborative experience – an intersection of artful expression, adventures that awaken the spirit, and interactions that nurture our connection to each other and our world, making our community stronger. This shared experience is why we are a Forest Family, and why Electric Forest feels like coming home. This video is one in a series of 2014 Electric Forest post-event videos.
