The 731 ton Norwegian Steamer Kong Guttorm returning from Le Havre in ballast when she was hit & sunk by a torpedo fired by UB-103 on 11th July 1918. Only 4 of the 15 man crew survived the sinking. The wreck probably broke apart on the surface as today it is in two distinct pieces. The bow is at 90 degrees to the stern with a debris field connecting the two sections. General depth to sea bed is 55m. When we dived it recently we were disappointed with the dark conditions on the wreck, as it lies some 20 miles SW of the Needles in an area of generally good visibility.
