The Green Couch Sessions are a live music video series based in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. It is the passion project of Green Couch Productions and produced by a dedicated team of volunteers. You can lend us your support by sharing this video or by clicking here: http://goo.gl/d42fyy to help us produce more live sessions like this one. Artist: Skye Wallace Song: Dead Things Part II We drove along the famously beautiful Sea to Sky Highway and stopped in the quaint community of Britannia Beach. As the clouds parted and the sun started shining Skye and her band of musicians carried the very vintage, very worn sofa across the road and along the railroad tracks to a very small, very dangerous strip of land jutting out into the ocean. The small peninsula was used as a dock years ago but is now slowly falling away. All that is left are the rotting beams still sticking out of the water. The group played Sky’s bluesy tune Dead Things Part II for this Green Couch Session. It was a magical moment by the sea. http://www.britanniaclassic.com The 5th Annual Britannia Classic presented by Hawgs Wheels was a great success. The event was held May 25-27th in British Columbia, Canada and had a $5000 cash podium. 160 Top International Riders shredded for 3 days in dry sunny weather and enjoyed our half freeride and half race weekend format. The downhill track is described by some as "the best in world". Rebounding from his broken ankle in the 2011 Britannia Classic, Kevin "K-Rimes" Reimer easily beat 2nd place and defending 2011 Champ, Patrick Switzer. The big surprise of the weekend was 16 year old Byron Essert of California taking 3rd place in his first visit to Canada. Big thanks goes out to Switchback Longboards, Landyachtz Skateboards and all our amazing volunteers for all their support. This is a short little piece I put together of the footage I shot during my trip up to Whistler and back to Vancouver. Whistler is definitely one of the best places to go and the drive up there is very beautiful. It was a little difficult filming while riding in the car for me, it was a little bumpy, but luckily the 60fps cures that a bit. Most of the footage was shot with the 50mm 1.8 lens, but there are a few shots that you'll see were shot with the Sigma 10mm fisheye lens, which is a lot of fun to use, and the kit lens 18-135mm, I find this lens to be pretty good as far as a kit lens.Hope you guys enjoy the vid, let me know what you guys think.
