“In Silicon Valley we have the highest concentration of aggressive people in the United States. And it's a place where all life has been reduced to working in a cubicle and then after work going out to have a Merlot at the Fromage bar. I'm kind of looking for something a little more primitive, a little more basic, something that appeals to the essential nature of a man." -- Gints K., Software Engineer & Founder, Gentlemen's Fight Club A film by Drea Cooper & Zackary Canepari+ More details

___ We put Silicon Valley’s innovation in motion. As a Motion Design Studio we rely heavily on performance-demanding software and that’s why we were convinced right away by NVIDIA’s latest product. With the NVIDIA Grid Visual Computing Apppliance (VCA) users aren’t limited to the performance of only their local workstation any longer. The VCA holds a total of 8 cores of enormous graphic-power reserves, each of which can be routed to various client desktops or combined all together for even more processing power. Together with Bureau Hardy Seiler we produced the How It Works Video for NVIDIA. Produced at yU+co Creative Director: Garson Yu Director/Designer: Mehmet Kizilay Producer: Carol Wong Animators: Mehmet Kizilay, Sinan Buyukbas, Ahmet Serif Yildirim, Louis Morton, Mert Kizilay Role: Director/designer and lead animator for the project. Creative Director Garson Yu came up with the brilliant idea which was to achieve the timelapse look in a 3D isometric video. Which required us to go through a certain R&D phase. The design had to have a lot of resemblence to Palo Alto and Silicon Valley, That's why some of the corporate buildings such as Facebook HQ or Google HQ were modeled identical to their originals. Directed the whole design, animation and compositing process. Led a small animation team in order to get as much detail animated as we can, so that in the beggining of every episode the audience catches a different glimpse of a fun detail.+ More details
___ We put Silicon Valley’s innovation in motion. In collaboration with Bureau Hardy Seiler we have helped visual computing giant NVIDIA for the second time with the introduction of their latest product, the NVIDIA GRID vGPU. The challenge was to produce an easy to understand introduction into architecture and inner workings of this groundbreaking new technology with a total length of 60 seconds. The vGPU technology makes it possible to use real graphic acceleration on different virtual machines. Thus graphic hardware resources can be used efficiently for performance-hungry graphic applications. NVIDIA used our video to introduce the GRID vGPU at this year's VMworld conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. California’s Silicon Valley is a microcosm of America’s new extremes of wealth and poverty. Business is better than it’s been in a decade. Facebook, Google and Apple have minted hundreds of new tech millionaires. But not far away, the homeless are building tent cities along a creek in the city of San Jose. Homelessness rose 20 percent in the past two years, food stamp participation is at a 10-year high, and the average income for Hispanics, who make up a quarter of the population, fell to a new low of about $19,000 a year — in a place where the average rent is $2000 a month.+ More details
