        When running Simplygon in Maya, you can now transfer edge sets. Inside of Simplygon you can then set [Edge Set] reduction priority for different edge selection sets. This is useful to better keep edge loops in LODs. There is also a new rendering setting in Simplygon to visualize the edge sets.

          As an alternative to baking a new material, Simplygon can now also replace materials in an asset with other materials in the same asset. Simplygon is basing the operation the visual impact of swapping a material. This means that hidden materials and materials using the same or similar textures with be exchanged first. Please note that this is an early version of the system, and will be improved for the next release.

            When baking a new material LOD you can now use two types of weighting to get a non-uniform space allocation of the UV and material charts, meaning that some areas get higher resolution and more detail than others. Use ether [Visibility weighted] that prioritizes surface that is more visible from outside the asset or [User Weights] that is manually painted on using the paint tool.
