Plus que la création d'une statue, ce projet s'inscrit dans une réflexion à propos de la 3D et techniques 3D assistées par ordinateur : Comment en détourner l'usage ? Que peux t'on faire de différent ? Comment intéresser un autre public ? Comment concilier techniques de création 3D et art plus traditionnel ? ... Titan, retranscription d'une modélisation 3D dans le monde réel, est un avatar inversé. Entité numérique matérialisée dans notre monde, fruit de l'imaginaire collectif, TITAN est la représentation de nos fantasmes de superpuissance. De 2 mètres de haut, la sculpture nous dépasse et nous ignore, son visage indéterminé et brouillé comme un signal radio contemple des horizons immatériels et infinis. Recouverte de vielles couvertures de comics, sa peau raconte nos rêves. Les histoires de supers héros se mélangent, se brouillent, révélant des brides de mythologies contemporaines. Voici les étapes de fabrication : - Modélisation 3D dans maya - Sortie du patron papier avec Pepakura (145 feuilles de papier) - Résiner le papier pour le rendre solide - Remplir la structure avec de la mousse expansée - Masticage - Ponçage - Couverture de la statue à l'aide de vieux comics. - Vernis Vidéo filmé au Canon 600D, timelaps avec le custom firmware Magic Lantern La musique à été composé sur mesure par SKROLL (Vivien Delva). Trouver une musique qui collait à la vidéo a été très difficile, heureusement Vivien à mis ses compétences à contribution et a composé une chouette bande son. Un énorme merci à lui !
