Post Rock Solo Guitar Performance with a work in progress MIDI loop switching pedalboard driving custom built Sound Reactive Neopixel LED lightstrip (from adafruit) built on the open source Arduino platform. Early prototype of the code is using an MSGEQ7 chip to split the audio into 7 frequency bands which is read by the microprocessor and the data is sent to the strip so what you see are the different colors representing different frequencies and their relative amplitudes. Still dialing in the right threshold range for audio input so it's hard to see the full display but have taken a Cymatics based approach to mapping the audio spectrum to light: Band 1: 63Hz - Red (low frequency) Band 2: 160Hz - Orange Band 3: 400Hz -Yellow Band 4: 1000Hz - Green Band 5: 2500Hz - Turquoise Band 6: 6250Hz - Blue Band 7: 16000 - Violet (high frequency) Will post more video once have everything calibrated properly. In the meantime do visit http://www.facebook.com/cymaspace & www.misledbayonets.com for more. Enjoy!
