A few weeks back we took a trip down to White Salmon, WA to connect with our friends over at Substantial Media House. We had mentioned a few months back that we were wanting to test the waters and see what we could produce with some elite kayakers. With the majority of the shots going into Substantial's next webisode, we picked out a few to give a sneak peek and a little behind the scenes of what went into making the shot! www.shiftedcinema.com Special thanks to Subsantial Media House http://www.substantialmediahouse.com

California has long been known to be one of the greatest paddling destinations. I missed out on the 2012 season and was fired up to try and get back for 2013...once again low snow pack and early heat brought the sierras in during April...not June. I was forced to make a weekend trip down to Fantasy Falls and meet up with an awesome crew of paddlers to do our best not to portage anything. Being one of the most demanding and difficult runs in CA we pushed through 20+ miles of Class V-V+ with only 3 portages. Enjoy watching epic descents of The Untouchables Gorge, Jedi Mind Melt, Island Slide, The Thing, and get a feel for how amazing and wild California actually is!

This is a the final version of my project for Dave Beck's 3D Modeling and Animation I (DES-372) class at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I used lego bricks to re-imagine a historical event, this being the discovery of the tomb of King Tutenkhamun.

2011 was a year of excessive rainfall in northeast pennsylvania. Demshitz managed to harvest much of the goods delivered from the incessant rainstorms. Five 30' waterfalls were first descented by Jared Seiler and crew and laps upon laps were run on the staples of the Delaware Water Gap. A 4 wheeler assisted shuttle and a run in with the law, as well as an epic broken nose complete this video as probably the most epic PA Creeking vid of all time! http://demshitz.com

Trying out the new iPhone Vimeo app. It's a pretty good editor for an iPhone app. I brewed the stout as a Guinness clone with American hops.

[UPDATE] Bottled the beer yesterday, 12-14-2008 28 12oz bottles 16 16oz bottles 1 20oz bottle So it did make 51 12oz bottles worth of beer. 612oz of beer in total. And it taste pretty good. Creamy stout. Went down to Santa Rosa, ca to make some beer with my step dad. Video may seem out of order at first (clip of cooling the beer after we bottle beer) but this was all shot on the same day. In between cooking up my batch we bottled a batch he had made a couple weeks earlier. I purchased the "dry stout" ingredient kit from thebeveragepeople.com. Kit: http://store.thebeveragepeople.com/pgi-PRODUCTSPEC?BN09 It came out to $36.95 and should make about 51 12oz bottles. Not a bad deal. I already own bottles from making soda, so it should come out to around $0.72 a bottle. After we took the beer out of the cooler, we capped the bucket. It will sit in the house for 4-5 days. Than it gets moved to a glass container with a one way valve on the top and sit for about another week at which point we can move it to bottles. Takes about 2 weeks in the bottle before drinking so they can get carbonated.
