After a week trip down to Bentonville, Arkansas to visit my best friend (I spent 10 years in the south and with me currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada I don't get many opportunities to visit my old home). It was the best trip ever and we got back to Toronto on his birthday. Within 5 minutes of getting home on his OWN birthday, he gifted me with a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and when I turned it on it immediately played this animation. :) It was originally a flash animation, so when it asked me the big question it has "Yes" & "No" buttons on the screen. Upon pressing yes, it played the final animation after the fade. Curious to know what happen if I pressed "No", I went back and replayed the animation. I had Michael press no for me, and to my surprise the button moved! I guess he wouldn't take no for an answer :) When I finished with the video he presented me with a teal Birks box and inside the most beautiful ring I have ever seen (picture bottom right). He's truly the sweetest man ever and I am incredibly lucky to have found him. The adorable animation was made by James Lee of www.tarboy.com Music is an edit of Sisters by Plus Plus http://www.myspace.com/plusplus2

Published on youtube originally - it caught the attention of Radio Times, Huffington Post, BBC America and SFX magazine. Before publishing I tweeted it to the incumbent motion studio doing the titles for the show. First section is the Doctors watch, and we fly inside. The journey through the cog-wheels end with our exit through the untempered schism. And into an escher-esque timey wimey never-ending clock face (a metaphor of time travel and the time vortex). Our journey catapults us through the vortex into a void where the seal of Rassilon is drawn in aged metal, which is accompanied by the Doctor Who logo, with some subtle embellishments. The seal of Rassilon burns away, reminding us of the Doctor's disdain for the Time Lords; revealing the new Doctor's reflection in the back of the watch which then tumbles away to the black hole in the distance. (This section could have done with a better shot - but seeing as I don't know Mr Capaldi's press agent this one had to suffice) The steampunk aesthetic is intentional. Audio reproduced by kind permission from Chris Adams (Hardwire) https://soundcloud.com/hardwiremusic who created this special arrangement. .................................... I'm a motion graphics professional, working on tv commercials and corporate presentations mostly. This was an exercise to see how far I could stretch myself over 4 weeks of spare time. Logo, Tardis and Time Vortex: CINEMA 4D Everything else: AFTER EFFECTS (using various post fx and particle generators) I did try Element 3D for some of the 3D assets, but went back to Cinema for flexibility. © info: Dr Who logo, Tardis and photographic content are the sole property of the BBC - no copyright infringement intended.

Video piece number 53. Made for the Vimeo Weekend Project "One Minute of Simple Pleasures" in 2013 instead of doing the housework in Inverness. For non commercial purposes only. The task was to make a film exactly one minute long with no editing with one stationary camera. It combines 2 of my personal pleasures (dr who and driving) with a pleasure shared by all men around the world (your partner falling asleep leaving you to drive the rest of the journey in peace!)

            • Doctor Who - My Pile of Good Things

              from Wildcat Media / Added

This video is a tribute to characters and stories who helped save my life in the past few months. I really debated whether or not to upload this video because it's something quite special to me. I hope it will be taken in the spirit that it is meant to be taken. I've been dealing with some rough personal and family issues that have made life less than fun (to say the least). At the same time all these problems were going on (and completely unrelated), some friends of mine suggested that I watch some episodes of "Doctor Who" because I would probably like it. That I would "like it" was an understatement - I totally fell in love with the story and the characters. And at that time, I really needed something to be happy about. When I was feeling dragged down by the things I was dealing with, I could bury myself in "Doctor Who" and the fandom and feel like there was something good in my life and I didn't have to give up. I've often thought why DW did this for me. Most people in my position would turn to family, friends or professional help, and I did all that. But there was one little thing missing: I needed something to actually be happy and excited about, instead of just coping with all the negative going on around me. I sometimes felt a little strange that a science-fiction TV show was what did it for me. However, Eleven's words in "Vincent and the Doctor" about adding to someone's pile of good things - paired with Amy's line in "The Beast Below" about someone so old and so kind not standing by and watching children cry - answered that question. I've never felt more grateful for a TV show in my life. Things are starting to be better for me. Some days are better than others, but thanks to caring people who also didn't stand by and watch me struggle, I have a much more positive outlook on life. "Doctor Who" belongs to the BBC. "Little Wonders" by Rob Thomas is from the "Meet the Robinsons" soundtrack, which is owned by Disney. I own absolutely nothing.

A surreal, lighthearted Glasgow short film, featuring love and coffee. Directed by Alessio Avezzano Director of photography, Iain Thomson. Editor, Paul Guest. "Alessio Avezzano’s distinctively Glasgow-set confection may not have such a huge production, but it’s quirky, funny and worth ten minutes of anyone’s time." - List Magazine. Loads more themes at http://teeveesgreatest.webs.com/ The main theme music from 1963, with variations from Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee. The visuals are from the intros of all the Doctors. I have also added a few sound effects just to make it a bit more original. Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord—a time travelling, humanoid alien known as the Doctor. He explores the universe in his TARDIS—a sentient, telepathic time machine that flies through time and space. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which were common in 1963, when the series first aired. Along with a succession of companions, the Doctor faces a variety of foes while working to save civilisations, help ordinary people, and right wrongs. The show has received recognition from critics and the public as one of the finest British television programmes, including the 2006 British Academy Television Award for Best Drama Series and five consecutive (2005-10) wins at the National Television Awards under Russell T Davies' reign as Executive Producer.

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
