Rehearsal video for my camera dance which I Skyped to Clarinda's performance at Danspace in September 2012. 9TH DANCE---QUESTIONING---20 February 1964 One begins by quietly chalking a strange tall bottle. Then, questioning, one seems to give someone something. One reasons regularly. Then one questions some more, reacting to orange hair. Soon, coming on by doing something crushing or crushing something & giving an answer & giving a simple form to a bridge & making drinks, one ends up saying things as an engine would. from The Pronouns by Jackson Mac Low --by Jackson Mac Low from THE PRONOUNS+ More details

This is the rehearsal of the dance I Skyped to Danspace in NYC as part of Clarinda's homage to her father Jackson Mac Low for what would have been his 90th birthday: 40 DANCERS DO 40 DANCES FOR THE DANCERS...http://www.danspaceproject.org/calendarandtickets/detail.php?id=171. This dance was done in a sort of exquisite corpse style. My part in the dance starts at 'Thou dost something in the manner of a sister'' and continues to the end. 10TH DANCE---COMING ON AS A HORN---20 February 1964 Thou comest by & then thou goest about between & through unserious-seeming goings-on, & thou hammerest. Presently thou art making a bridge & giving it to someone, making decisions, & making a cake. Thou gettest out with things, & thou gettest insects. Thou comest against something or thou fearest things. Thou dost something in the manner of a sister whose mind is happy & willing, thou writest with a bad pen, & either thou hast curves or thou hast to put weight on a bird while thou puttest something slow under an insect, & thou hast or seem'st to have serious holes, albeit thine ending be one wherein thou reactest to orange hair. from The Pronouns by Jackson Mac Low+ More details
