    Documentary; Segment: "Wounded Knee Massacre" Directed, shot and edited by Chris Cavallari Written and Produced by Susan Dantino & Rochelle Ripley June 2006 The Lakota Elders Project: Journey of the Generations is a documentary-slash-historical record produced for the Lakota Sioux tribe of South Dakota, USA. Using the Seven Lakota Values as a guide, the Lakota Elders Project unites young Lakota people with their Elders to pass on the history, tradition, and values of the Lakota people. In September 2005, Filmosity traveled to Eagle Butte, SD to capture these invaluable records to pass on to Lakota children for generations to come.

The Office of Minority Affairs, Alumni Association, SGA, and the Office of the Dean of Students teamed up to bring this wonderful performance, featuring the beautiful talents our own Tunxis student, Cristina! Donations from the event will be used toward the purchase of discounted bus passes for our commuter students.                   On December 3, 2010, Daniel Hartington, guitar instructor for the Virtuosi Music Academy, gave an excellent solo classical guitar performance in the intimate setting of the Farmington Bank House on the campus of Tunxis Community College. Works on this podcast includes Daniel’s performance of Rodrigo’s “En Los Trigales” and “Tiento Antiguo”; the rolling (tremolo) melody of Tarrega’s “Recuerdos de la Alhambra”; Wallace’s “Dreams on a Lullaby”; and Giuliani’s “Gran Sonata Eroica, op. 150”. Daniel concluded the recital with works of York and Bach.

                    A house concert, part of the "Room for Living" Tour featuring Voltaic celestial pop artist Artemis and multi-instrumentalist and composer Daniel Berkman will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, 7 p.m. at Tunxis Community College's Farmington House, located at 258 Scott Swamp Road in Farmington. Enjoy an intimate evening of song and instrumental music featuring looped and unlooped, acoustic and electric instruments—kora, piano, cello, flute and percussion. There will be two 45-minute sets of music with a break in between for conversation and refreshments. Seating is limited, and timely arrival is appreciated. House concert guests will be the first to get access to exclusive, pre-released editions of Artemis' new EP triology "Triptych" and Berkman's new Colfax release "Jupiter Expeditions."
