INFIL_EXFIL (2013) Full-length Film Category: Documentary, narrative and war drama Purpose: PTSD Awareness Written and produced by Michael Golembesky Soundtrack by Ryan Bertollini, Jason Savory, Mill Run Band and Vincent Lafrance This film is an artistic look at the war in Afghanistan and the reflections and quiet stillness that many Veterans bring home with them. It is a collection of HD helmet camera footage of Marine and Army Special Operations in the village of Daneh Pasab, Afghanistan in April of 2010; offset by the integration of current footage shot around Colorado along with a collection of original music by independent artist. The film is a beautiful balance between personal reflection footage in Colorado where the story is being narrated and raw, violent experiences of service in Afghanistan. I want to say thank you to everyone who is helping me with the project. Locations: Colorado (present) and village of Daneh Pasab, Afghanistan 2010 Running length: 60 minutes, edited using SONY Vegas PRO in high definition format video Format: DVD HD (1920 x 1080, 24.000 fps) Film submissions: All Colorado 2013 film festivals via "Without a Box" and "Secure Online Screener" Withoutabox Presskit & Secure Online Screener by request only > film@levelzeroheroes.com IMDb (trailer) > http://www.imdb.com Cast; Michael Golembesky, Marines and Sailors of U.S. Marine Special Operation Team (MSOT) 8222, Soldiers and Airmen of Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA) 1314 and Afghan Commando Force. Everything changed when two 82nd Airborne Paratroopers tragically drowned in the muddy Bala Murghab River while trying to retrieve vital supplies from an airdrop that had gone terribly wrong. In that one moment, the focus and purpose of the friendly forces at Forward Operating Base Todd changed forever. With the assistance of U.S. Marine Special Operations Team 8222, a massive clearing operation was initiated to break the Taliban's stranglehold on the valley and its people. It took over seven months of fighting. This is the USMC Silent Drill Platoon when they visited the US Marine Air Station in Beaufort, SC. I happened to be there with my camera. The exhibition was scheduled to be held on the parade field. However, it was moved inside a jet fighter hanger due to rain. Shot with one camera (GY-HD100) in a fixed location. The only editing was to add a title page and take out a few camera movements. Hope you enjoy.
