The title of this reflection is "Courage: Where does it come from? When is it needed?" and it was given by UUBRidge member Ira Chaleff. Aristotle calls courage the primary virtue because we need it to display other virtues. We all have a degree of courage but few of us have reflected on what courage is and where we reach for it when it is not naturally forthcoming. The reflection examines different sources of courage and attendees were given an opportunity to examine and share their own unique sources. The video includes a question and answer session at the end.

The theme of this sermon is "Out With the Old," and is given by Rev. Russ Savage. How shall each of us respond as the New Year begins? One step is getting rid of excess baggage which is weighing us down. Let’s examine what some of that might be, and how we might get rid of it. The sermon concludes with the traditional burning of old concerns.

This sermon is called "The Nature of Hope," and it was given by the Reverend Russ Savage. Of all the living and sentient beings on earth, it is likely that humans are the only ones who know of hope--and of despair. This is so because both hope and despair have to do with our expectations of the future, and the future is a complex intellectual concept probably not shared by other beings.
