Follow on: https://facebook.com/TSOphotography for more photos, videos and updates. This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide. Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies. A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes. Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32. This project was a collaborative effort that spanned countries & time zones with several artists working long hours to finally put this piece out. The passage comes from an Old Testament prophecy, taken from Ezekiel 37. Not only is the text extremely descriptive and visual, lending itself to beautiful imagery, but show that where there is death and exile, hope and life can be found. Dry Bones would not have been possible without the extremely talented artists with loads of patience, who I had the privilege of working with. Dan DiFelice. Director, Compositor, VFX Director David Tate. DP, Editor Michael Rinnan. CG Artist: Tracking, Muscle Dev/Animation Renato Marques. CG Artist: Skin & Vein Dev/Animation Justin Burton. CG Artist: Previz Matt Fezz. Colorist Salomon Ligthelm. Score/Sound Design Chris Baden. Talent Luke Atencio. VO Artist We shot the piece entirely on the 7d and post work was done in c4d and Nuke. The project started in April with boards & CG dev, we shot in early June outside of Las Vegas, and spent June through October refining the CG as well as the composite, sound design, and color. Dry Bones started off as a personal project of mine, but had it not been for Adam Devizia & the A/G picking up DB and funding a significant portion of it, it's possible the project would have not taken flight. Special thanks to: Michael Jones & Glenn Stewart for your collaborative efforts, and Justin Jackson for use of your truck. A powerful short film which presents the monologue of a single actor (John Shrapnel). Through his reminiscences the audience gets an insight into a dark, confused and embittered mind.

The serene upland farm of Llyndy Isaf, on the shores of Llyn Dinas, is unique in Snowdonia, untouched by intensive farming and home to threatened wildlife of international importance. Sitting within the Nant Gwynant pass, offering 600 acres of extraordinary and peaceful haven for people to get close to nature – and enjoy quiet pursuits such as hiking, kayaking and sailing. Upon the retirement of the current owner, the National Trust, with the generous support of the public, aims to acquire this land. If successful, protecting it from the commercial market, and the impending development that would follow. The tranquil atmosphere could easily be shattered. This portrait of the area captures that tranquility. - A film for The National Trust Cinematography, Post-production: Pete Dungey (petedungey.com), Joe Spiteri (joespiteri.co.uk) Narration: Dai Amos Reading extracts from: ‘Wanderings and Excursions in North Wales’ - Thomas Roscoe, 1836 ‘On the Beauties, Harmonies, and Sublimities of Nature’ - Charles Bucke, 1823 Sound Design: Patrick Amos With Thanks: Richard Neale, The National Trust Kenneth Owens, Llyndy Isaf

A day before a large arctic air mass was set to move across the Rockies dumping a ton of snow across southern Alberta, conditions were prime for some heavy fog in the mountains. I set out on a trip to Jasper National Park that ended up lasting two days and covering over 1000km to witness the awesome sight of the Rockies shrouded in fog. The end result was over 3300 photos shot over 18 hours put together into this timelapse. Yosemite Valley,CA 2011 "a warm place" was created after spending six days and five nights in nonstop rain and snow. I decided May would be the perfect month for my first solo visit to Yosemite valley and set out to capture time lapse photography of the elusive Moonbows over Yosemite falls. due to poor weather in May i ended up returning to the park in June for two nights to try and capture a couple more moonbows(lunar rainbows). Shot entirely with the Canon 5D2 and Canon lenses.
