Partnering with DMHVideo Production and Brightline Interactive, Timbuktoons produced assets and animations for an interactive touchscreen game linked to big screen televisions. The game was programmed by Brightline as part of 5-hour ENERGY’s “Fix the Tired” campaign and exhibit at NASCAR races. Once the art direction was set and visual development completed, we created a series of character packs with props, walk cycles, states (awake, tired), poses as well as environments. Challenge: create the illusion of depth without the complexities of programming 3D space create a large library of characters and props with quick turnaround and limited budget create animation cycles for 7 characters, 4 poses each for 5 backgrounds Solution: created reoccurring characters with interchangeable props and poses within different environments reused animation cycles within character packs to save time and cost produced “programming ready” illustrations and nested animations to integrate into game development pipeline

Read more: http://www.timbuktoons.com/portfolio/animation/superhero/ Changes in the Post 9/11 GI Bill, a law that provides educational benefits to veterans, made new training for School Certifying Officials (SCOs) necessary. Under the changes, veterans received expanded benefits and the ability to enroll in a wider variety of vocational training. SCOs, the representatives at schools responsible for certifying eligible veteran students, needed more information about the changes and how that would affect the processing of the benefit. Timbuktoons co-developed a series concept of fun animated “how-to” videos to encourage, inspire and train SCOs on new reporting procedures for helping former military in their educational endeavors.
