It's an honour too have Vaughan Hoekman riding for Image. He is a true ambassador for our movement, aswell as a true ambassador for bodyboarding in general! We first met Vaughan on the Luna's cliffs, when he was still a grommet trying to come to terms with putting his body on the line amongst the force only Lunas can produce. This is only natural for Victorian bodyboarders as there are no other waves in Victoria that come close to imitating the shallow, heavy and unforgiving Luna Park setup and wave type. Hence why the progression from Victorian beach breaks and mediocre reef breaks, to one of the heaviest waves in the world, can be quite overwhelming and for some unbearable. On top of all that, during Vaughan's first crack at Lunas where he remained waveless, he unfortunately had to whitness another brave soul and one of his best mates, Nick O'Sullivan get destroyed by the Lunas wrath and break his Femur which resulted Nick having to be carried out of the dangerous and remote surf and be airlifted to hospital. According to Vaughan "blood just filled the water" after Nick's tragic incident. That scenario is enough to terrorise and spook anyone from coming back and from that point Vaughan knew exactly the type of wave Luna Park was and how unforgiving it can be, and to conquer it would take lots of dedication and commitment. Two years later with hundreds of hours travel time under his belt, and dozens of new and larger waves surfed and conquered, Vaughan has been able to increase his big wave riding capabilities and take his riding to the next level. He is now comfortable and capable enough to challenge one of the most Heaviest waves in the world, Luna Park. His first successful session at Lunas is displayed in this clip, where he joined fellow Team Riders Shane Ackerman and James Page. It was one of those near perfect Luna days that most bodyboarders dream of. However we will be saving Vaughan's best clips from that session for our new film Til The End. His progression in big wave surfing, alongside with his perfected Technical style and ability, makes him one of the most complete riders to ever come out of Victoria. Fellow Team Riders James Page and Clinton Kettlewell also fall into this category. Vaughan Hoekman is also supported by Cheer Wetsuits and Enough Threads, two of the most highly regarded bodyboard companies in The Southern Land, who are doing great things for the bodyboarding industry and the bodyboarding future. Cheer Wetsuits and Enough Threads played a huge part in making this clip possible, as well as ensuring Vaughan's section for Til The End will be breathtaking. Local Knowledge A BMX Documentary. After lots of planning, countless meetings, frustrated riders, the plans were set & construction was scheduled. 18.07.11 Construction commenced on the Warrnambool Skatepark. Taking 6 long weeks to be completed. 29.08.11 Construction was completed. Park opened to the public. The documentary named 'Local Knowledge' is about the role the local BMX riders played in the re-development of the Warrnambool skatepark. With the vast amount of talent within only a few dedicated riders, this documentary looks at what influenced them in creating the layout for the skatepark, their feelings on being able to basically design their localskatepark that they've ridden for countless years & what they look forward to in the new park and what it'll bring to, what is an already such a small, talented group of riders. All the riding action is @ 5:10 Don't miss that! Lots of good riding in there! This is my 2012 park edit. Didn't really want to film any dirt, don't know why, just thought i'd keep it just park.. Tried to film as much as i could at my local Camperdown, but its hard to think of things to do there and its pretty small. I didn't get nearly the amount of clips that i wanted, but thought this would do anyways haha. Anywho, a large majority of this is all self filmed, but i have to thank the few that did press the record button for me and offered to help! Dougy, Harley, Aaron, Hugh, Latchy cheers! Filmed at Camperdown, Warrnambool, New Knox and Camberwell skate parks. Song: Diafrix - Running It

Oat Vaiyaboon has a particular way of seeing the world. He began as an architect, then opened a restaurant and took up landscape photography, so he has always had a creative lens through which he sees the world. It seems that he's continually looking for a different perspective. Now he has one, in the form of a quad-copter. Some of you may call it a drone, others might think of it as a remote-controlled helicopter. I myself call it a Go-Pro flying machine (*not the technical name). When I first saw a snippet of the video footage that Oat was capturing up there in the sky, I found it hard to believe that he had caught them with a tiny little digital camera, and that they were from around where I live, Port Fairy, Warrnambool, near the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. The same places I walk most days are, from Oat's perspective, rendered stunningly, breathtakingly, 'tourism-video-style' beautiful. That said, they are gorgeous from foot level too! Wanting to share Oat's work on a broader platform than just Facebook, I asked him if I could do a little profile of his quad-copter flying hobby, using the footage he had already captured. Not being one to big-not himself, it took Oat a little bit of convincing, but here it is. Enjoy the ride! Edited / Produced by Emily Bissland Quad Copter Footage by Oat Vaiyaboon
