In Novemeber 2014, I attended the Educational Trust (http://www.edtrust.org) National Conference. By far, it was the most impactful conference I have attended as a school leader. The conference reminded me of why I got into teaching, into administration, and into district level leadership. Schools should provide the opportunity for all kids to reach their fullest potential. However, schools are challenged with so many compliance pieces that it clouds our remembering of why we do the work we do. This is just one of my stories that motivate me to do the work I do. I know that every single person who works in schools has stories that motivates them to do the work they do. I am sharing this story with the hope that you will think about your story and remember why you have chosen to work in schools.
