Shot at twilight over the course of a month, Colin Kennedy's video for "Pyrakantha" by Balmorhea follows skater Danny Garcia through the streets of LA at the magic hour. In Kennedy's own words: "There's a brief moment each day where the lights of the city contrast perfectly with the dusky sky and when I first heard Pyrakantha, I immediately thought of that moment. For the video, I wanted to suspend that brief window of light over the course of the entire song and by using a skateboarder as a guide, take the viewer on a journey through some of my favorite places in Los Angeles while the last light of day fades into night."

Jesse Marchant, or JBM as he's more commonly known in the music world, creates delicate, subdued and moving indie rock. Written mostly on an acoustic guitar, his songs are sparse, though never simplistic — he's classically trained on the guitar and quick with his fingers — and overall the music often conveys a haunting, yet beautiful emotional quality. He's shared the stage with well-known acts like St. Vincent and The Tallest Man On Earth. /// Featured song: "Moonwatcher" /// Stray Ashes, the sophomore album by JBM, is out via Western Vinyl. /// Complete radio broadcast and playlist: http://bit.ly/Ji5DP5 /// Official website: http://www.jbm-music.com
