1. Cityscape Chicago

    from Eric Hines Added 1M 7,611 359

Please watch in Fullscreen & HD with sound for best quality. Cityscape Chicago is a personal timelapse piece consisting of over 30,000 still photographs shot on the Canon 5D Mark III incrementally between July and October 2012 around downtown Chicago, Illinois. The inspiration of this piece was my fascination with the city of Chicago, particularly at night. For me, there has always been a mysterious sort of feeling to Chicago at night, so I decided to explore and capture it. Please watch in Fullscreen & HD with sound for best quality. Cityscape Chicago II is a personal timelapse piece that I have worked on periodically over the past two years. The inspiration behind the project ties similarly with the original piece. As the city of Chicago continues to change, my fascination with it grows as well. The goal for me is always to capture the city in a unique way from new perspectives, and to continue exploring it. The timelapse sequences in this video were all shot on the Canon 5D Mark III and various lenses. Motion control used in the making of the piece was provided by the Kessler CineDrive and Second Shooter. www.KesslerCrane.com Music: "Signaling Through the Flames" by 'The American Dollar' | facebook.com/theamericandollar Instagram Instagram.com/EricHinesPhotography/ Website www.EricHinesPhotography.com Twitter Twitter.com/EricHinesPhotos Facebook Facebook.com/EricHinesPhotography This video may not be used without permission. Through the past couple years I've shot a decent amount of time-lapses of the Chicago skyline. I figured why not take all of those and throw the same mirror filter that was warmly welcomed by a lot of people on this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cshimala/5275838854/ Music: Neon Canyon - Libra

December 12th, 2012 is the last day until January 1st, 2101 where there will be an identical sequence of dates. For the community documentary project, "One Day On Earth," I shot a series of time lapses throughout the day in Chicago to represent a day in the Windy City. What was shot on this day can never be replicated ever again for the rest of time. That is something that is profound to myself and shows that every day counts and is unique in itself. Shot on Panasonic GH2 Edited and Color Graded in Premiere Pro CS6 Music: "Note Drop" by Broke for Free http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Broke_For_Free/Layers/Note_Drop Music use via Attribution Non-Commercial Creative Commons License All shot on 12/12/12 Update 12/15: Any "Tips" made to the Tip Jar will help me make better and more improved time lapses in the future! :)

                      from Chris Loh Added 2,864 12 2

This is my good bye to 2011. Stacy (my camera) and I had some pretty good times, and we figured we would share the highlights of this past year. This year I got my license suspended, moved out of my parents house, gained ten pounds, had sex in a cave, got two parking tickets, met Stacy, stole a pvc pipe from a construction site, graduated high school, fell in love, and recommitted my life to God. If someone told me that all of this was going to happen before the year started, I’d tell them that they were crazy. I wouldn’t guess in a million years that my life would get flipped upside down the way that it did in 2011. That being said, 2012 will be an even more eventful year, hopefully with less stupidity on my part. I hope to advance my skill set as a videographer, be a better son, brother, student, and friend, progress as a skateboarder, and continue to grow in my faith. Me and Stacy want to thank all of the players, and friends who made this 2011 mix possible, and would like to give a special shout out to kyle for guessing the song in 2011 sucks. You can find his channel here http://www.youtube.com/breaktosnake everything was edited in Final Cut Pro 7 and iMovie. All shot with my 60D (Stacy) and my 70-200 F4 L. Filmed and edited by chris loh.
