The EU Common Agricultural Policy is under reform. And it is a challenge for all peoples of Europe to jointly draw a new strategy for a better food and farming system. The key questions remain: What future can we hope for, with just 7% of Europe's farmers under the age of 35? What are the challenges for a young farmer today? How does the economic crisis affect our food security? And what is the impact of agriculture on our environment and the landscape? Follow the stories of young farmers of Greece and compare them with those of the Netherlands (www.vimeo.com/youthfoodmovement). Launching date: September 26, 2012 Follow the dialogue online on www.foodpolitics.eu and on twitter: #FarmingOnCrisis @geopavlos @foodpoliticsEU @cap2013

Did you know that the average farmer in Tennessee is nearly 60 years old? In this video, farmers from the Chattanooga area talk about the importance of teaching younger people how to farm and appreciate the land around them, from preschoolers to young adults. Hear it from the farmers themselves why passing on the knowledge of farming and a passion for the land is so important. To make this video, we teamed up with Atomic Films in May 2011 and interviewed vendors at the Main Street Farmers Market, at Baylor School, and at various farms around Chattanooga.
