        Verde Valley School has been involved with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals since 2006. The school has sent a group to Malawi to assist in developing the African country's impoverished communities. Starting in 2013, the program included a partnership with the Oak Creek Canyon Lions Club to bring eye-glass clinics to Malawi as well as continuing to develop educational and community infrastructure.
