We are an organization out of Asheville, North Carolina, bringing world class Jungian teachers out of Zurich and other sites to offer seminars to people via the internet and DVD. We independently produce these videos and make them available to a wide audience. This excerpt is from a 3 hour seminar lead by Murray Stein on Carl Jung's Red Book hosted live from Zurich in January 2010. Best Regards, Asheville Jung Center

Shadow Cave is about reaching into the darkness in ourselves and bringing what is hidden in us to light, which is reminiscent of the return of the sun in the darkest moment. It's a small offering. It's based on a real ritual I did in 1995 and which I wrote an extensive entry in my journal about. I re-wrote the ritual as a sort of modern fairy tale. It's about integrating ourselves at our deepest levels, however we image that. Sometimes what is in our shadows is not anything 'dark' or 'dangerous' at all! It is only what we've repressed in ourselves... it could be a hurt or wounded part of yourself, and it might be your very creativity itself. Shadows and dopple gangers appear in this videopoem, as ever. :) Please forgive. (I just can't help being multiple, ya know!) I offer it to the light within us. _ Subtitled version here: http://brendaclews.blogspot.com/2011/10/dance-videopoem-shadow-cave.html (can be translated into 25 languages too if spoken English is a bit hard to follow)

This video is a product of active imagination, which is a process of looking inward pioneered by Carl Jung. On my blog - sunfiresblog.wordpress.com - you can read more about how I'm using this praxis.
