        NOTES: For more accurate results, hit the 'Download' tab and download 'Original .MOV file' Stuttering in the lower angle 5D3 shots was from boat vibrations. This is not from the hack and can be fixed with warp stabilizer, but I wanted to keep full resolution in those shots. Also, the power lines aren't aliasing in the 5D3 footage as some have noted...they are painted with black & white stripes: http://ryanlightbourn.com/uploads/5d3raw/power_lines.jpg Shot back & forth between the two cameras on the same day. Minor grading done in ACR & RCX to match contrast. No sharpness added. Scarlet footage shot in 4k, downscaled 50% to 1080p. Lenses used: Tokina 11-16mm & Zeiss 25mm 2.8 (both with Formatt 1.2 ND) My thoughts browsing through the raw footage: Scarlet has slightly more of a filmic/pro look (maybe due to having more dynamic range overall?) and a slight edge in sharpness. 5D3 raw has less noise, and holds more detail in the shadows. It was shot with a CineFlex V14 HD operated by Tom Miller of blueskyaerials.com from a Robinson R44 helicopter piloted by Chris Gularte of specializedheli.com. To my knowledge there has been very little, if any, hang gliding shot this way. Certainly none in Big Sur. This is basically uncut, the only cuts are when Tom looses me out of frame. I consider this kind of a tech demo as much as a teaser. Just trying to show what can be done with the right tools. We have some really incredible footage... The gimbal used was a DJI Zenmuse BMPCC with Olympus 12mm f2.0 ZUIKO lens with ND8 or ND64 filters. The low light shots were without ND´s. Recorded as RAW .dng, graded in Davinci Resolve Have fun!                     These are some of the Aerial rushes from a TVC we were shooting in Southern New Zealand. Shooting with the RED EPIC 5k camera inside a SHOTOVER stabilised camera system with a 24-290 Angenieux Lens. We shot all of this aerial footage in less than 3 hours. As most of our principle shooting was on the ground. While in transit from Queenstown to different parts of the the south island, we shot these images on our journey between locations.
