Based on the short and difficult life cycle of the butterfly, my intention was to create work that floats between meaning and non meaning. The piece has a lot of biographical space. I am at war with the obvious, and the music was contributed by Keith Levene with whom I share this sentiment ,as well as an interest in abstraction and simplicity. Dominique McConnell-Wood and I developed the choreography to reflect the tension between struggle and hope that we encounter in life. My thanks are due to Krystina Kitsis (costume) and Julie Buckand (editor) for their creativity and friendship. Kelly Titheridge is an outstanding talent whose beauty and performance perfectly match my ambition for the original concept.I am very happy.+ More details
I have been studying at night school in order to learn how to make a music video. I was inspired by this amazing piece of music by Goldfrapp, a band that I first encountered in a tiny club around Smithfield Market I think, about fifteen years ago. Everyone should watch this short video to understand the consequences of what goes into our daily routines, and the hidden horrors behind the privileges we take for granted. Please take just 5 minutes to watch, and share to help spread the message for those who take their lives for granted. Following 3 characters as they perform seemingly harmless tasks of normal Western life, see the tragic consequences behind buying consumer electronics, filling a car with gasoline, and eating meat--though found footage that is 100% real and, respectably, considered legal, not harshly prosecuted, and 'humane'. Please enjoy, be sure to watch in full quality with good sound, and PLEASE, SHARE THIS TO HELP MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. One share and a few words is enough to make a difference, one person at a time. [This film was originally produced for a writing class, WRIT 1122 at the University of Denver, under the instruction of Professor Matthew Hill. The project involved 'remixing' media for a cause that has meaning to us--so we tackled 3, mixing found footage with our own forte of original and interesting narrative filmmaking. Shot on a Canon 60D in 50 & 60 fps at 720p, and edited in Sony Vegas 12.]+ More details
