This is one of the weekly time lapse videos we put on www.alpineinitiatives.org to show our donors the construction work progress. I especially like this one because that week, the local workers finally understood what I was trying to capture with my camera and really helped me getting better angles for the shots.. ..even though they still had never seen a time lapse video before. They lifted me onto rafters, they would find me on the job site to let me know it was time to change location and by the end, they would move the camera on their own. They were so excited when I showed them the finished videos at the end of the trip. Shot with the Canon 1D Mark II.

At recent meetings in Geneva, Switzerland, the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist Church moved to establish a formal relationship with the United Nations’ World Health Organisation. Some Adventists are concerned about the church working with the United Nations. Others say the relationship will enhance the activities of thousands of the church’s schools, hospitals, and health clinics. The United Nations expects the church will assist in battling Malaria, AIDS, and poor maternity health. Seventh-day Adventists are one of the most health-oriented church groups in the world, and fresh from the Geneva summit is Adventist Health Director for the South Pacific, Kevin Price.
