Timelapse motion scenes of Atacama Desert in Chile, high altitude landscape of Altiplano and the spectacular Licancabur volcano, and ALMA radio telescopes in action. From altitude of over 5,000 meters, the night sky view from Chajnantor Plateau in the Chilean Andes is breathtaking. The dark site's rarefied atmosphere, at about 50 percent sea level pressure, is also extremely dry. That makes it ideal for the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). With total of 66 giant radio dishes, each 12 or 7 meters in diameter, ALMA will revolutionize exploration of the universe in radio wavelength. ALMA is known as the world's largest ground-based astronomy project now involving many countries. The footage is available to license in high quality full HD1080p (2k or 4k). The Very Large Telescope (VLT) consists of four individual telescopes, each with a primary mirror 8.2 m across and four movable Auxiliary Telescopes (ATs) of 1.8 m aperture. It is located on cerro Paranal (2635m), in northern Chile. The Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA) is the largest ground-based astronomical project consisting of 66 12-metre (39 ft), and 7-metre (23 ft) diameter radio telescopes. It is also the world's highest array of radio telescopes at 5,000 metres altitude in the Chajnantor plateau, northern Chile. Images and sounds recorded on location by Jordi Busqué. A traveler for nearly 15 years, Álex Rivera, an indigenous Peruvian finds himself living in the center of the modern day European city of Aarhus. Its concrete walls and materialistic society contradicts his native views and naturalistic lifestyle. Even so, he is still able to find ways to stay rooted to the “Pacha,”a Quechua word meaning “earth.” Its a connection he sees has mainly been lost in today's urbanized generation. For him, living here as an opportunity to plant his own seeds and establish strong roots through which he hopes will pass on his energy.

When you imagine a chef creating a dish, you don't immediately think of a trip to the beach with friends. But that's exactly what makes Ari Taymor different from so many of his contemporaries. Alma, the restaurant he co-owns with partner Ashleigh Parsons in downtown Los Angeles, serves food that's personal: pared-down, ingredient-driven dishes made from foraging trips up the California coast and mornings scouring local farms. The style has amassed accolades (Ari was named Food & Wine's Best New Chef of 2014), and tables at Alma are as hard to come by as a wild chanterelle in a dry spell. This month, in collaboration with director Andrea Sisson of Lauren-Edward Film and Culture Studio, we traveled up to Rincon Beach with Ari, Ashleigh, and farmer/forager Courtney Guerra to uncover the inspiration behind one of the restaurant's most beautiful dishes, Central Coast. Named after the shoreline from which its components originate, it features cod, radish, verbena, and coastal herbs. Or, at least it did the morning we made it—the mix shifts depending on what exciting ingredients the team finds. Watch the above video to see how it all unfolds...
