Our friends at Teradek gave us a few toys to play with on our productions a couple months back. One such toy is the Teradek Clip, which transmits a compressed signal from a camera to iPads and other wifi devices. After a small run with a live feed for a wedding, we brought the Clip onto the set of singer Jason Chen's music video, that Michael directed. Marcus, famous for his Orange juggling skills, filmed some BTS, which Andrew at Teradek then edited to show at the IBC tradeshow in September. It was pretty cool. :-) I couldn't show just how weird I usually am on set, otherwise the whole crew would be scared of me. Cameras used: Teradek Clip with the Canon EOS C100 and the Teradek Bolt (not really featured) with the Sony A7s BTS Set: Jason Chen's "I Hate Sorry", produced by Mylen Yamamoto Featured Director of Photography: Andy Chen BTS Cameraman: Marcus Valerio - Onyx Cinema BTS Editor: Andrew Ng - Teradek

My first attempt as a DP on a 16mm short film. My friends and I literally shed our blood, sweat and tears for this film. It cost us about USD $9000 which mostly came out of our own pockets. Looking back, we did alot of things wrong. We could have made it better. However, the experience was a great teacher. Just wanted to share it with others who might have gone through the same. Cheers!
