June 2011. A split screen short film adaptation of the theater play "Sure Thing" by David Ives. It depicts a conversation, and the many directions it could go. Actors: Alexandra Morra & Isaac Skinner. Cinematography by: Daniel Pennington & Michael Smith. Directed and Edited by: Daniel Pennington. Special Thanks: Katie Hennessey, Gerson Bradford, Tara Endicott, & Burlap and Bean Coffee. Cameras: Canon 5D Mark II & Canon 60D. Shot in monochrome for a complete black and white workflow. Idea for splitscreen came from the fact that when viewing a stage play, one can look at any actor at any time.

February 2012 Update: New original score by Derick Crucius. Considering it was extremely rushed at times, it’s not without its flaws, but it was a great learning experience and a true accomplishment for me.Probably going to do more post work, but not for awhile. Don't hesitate to let me know what you think, would love to hear specifics of what you liked/didn't like. Thanks!

In Chicago we entered the lives of Kris + Tina, as we not only filmed their wedding but the whole week prior. We captured Tina's final dress fitting, the rehearsal dinner, their last dance lesson and each special moment that went with it. By the end of the wedding "week" it was clear to us why everyone around them adore this fun loving couple. A truly special experience. a special email received from the lovely Tina on 7th Feb 2012: Hi Abraham!! Thinking of you as I just watched my wedding video for probably the millionth time! It's been about a year and a half since Kris and I got married, and I still cannot help but watch the video and get transported back to that special day and time! It's actually pretty amazing. I watch it when I'm feeling not so good and want a pick me up, and also if I'm feeling happy and want the cherry on top! I just want you to know how appreciative that I am for what you created. Also, wanted to let you know that Kris and I are expecting our first little one this June! We are so so excited!! I'm feeling great and started feeling the baby move which is really exciting! I hope everything is going well with you and Untitled! You are a special talent. I wish you all of the best in work and in play! Take care, Tina.

A basic take tutorial. For this exercise I do a basic head turn. Using standard workflow procedures, We start with the two key poses, add breakdowns, then do our ease out/overshoots. The key here is to keep your workflow clean and precise and to utilize all the controls to enhance the motion we're aiming for. With blinks, we aim for simple pose to pose as well, and work on adding subtle overlap and stretch/squash in the eyebrows and eyelids. the goal is to create a sense that the whole face is moving, not just the eyelids.
