I went on a short trip to Grand Rapids to see a few pieces from the Art Prize event. One stop found me in the Site Lab. Great installations all around, it was hard to tell where the former natural history exhibits stopped and the contemporary exhibits began. As soon as you walked in your were greeting by a woman doing a hula-hoop number. I loved how she was interacting with an installation that was hung from the ceiling. It also reminded me of a film I made years ago that had a small section of the main character hula-hooping in a grave yard. The last clip in the video is from my installation at the Dallas Museum of Art. It just goes round and round.
