Life passes by in a blur - seemingly faster and faster as we age. Appreciating the little things can make a big difference when the stress of everything gets too much. Standing in the sun. Leafing through my art journal and it's lumpy, colourful pages. Noticing how little kids can't keep still, even when at rest. I created this series of short videos using stop motion animation, speeding up long moments of pausing for reflection and contracting them to 10 seconds. Bite size pieces of someone else's life for the busy viewer! Music: Sleaze by Knife Party For more info about my art work visit https://www.facebook.com/fershaw.art

7 Minutes In Heaven is a performance and installation by artist Nathan Sharratt that allows the artist and viewer to engage in meaningful collaboration by creating a place where social contracts are forged anew every 7 minutes. For 7 minutes, anything can happen as long as both the artist and the collaborator agree it should be done. Suggested actions are printed along the walls. When the timer sounds to announce the end of the interaction, the collaborator is given a marker to record what happened according to their own interpretation. They could make a tick mark on as many words as they wished, or write on the wall if the action had no precedent. Commissioned by PushPush Theater for SeeThrough, April 2013, performed at Erikson Clock in Atlanta, GA. Documented by Dave Batterman Editing and sound by Nathan Sharratt

Invited to participate in the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2012, India’s first international biennale, Dylan Martorell will present Soundtracks, an on-going project that explores personal journeys, the evolution and migration of music and how we as a society deal with material refuse. Soundtracks, as an interactive art project reflects the ways in which different cultures approach concepts of recycling, reusing and re-contextualising materials in a way in which developed Western countries have until recently ignored. Determined by what is found and influenced by street-based examples of portable nomadic activities such as street vendors, homeless shelters, garbage collectors and recycle workers, Soundtracks, is a project in cross cultural reciprocation.
