Hyper-Matrix is a kinetic landscape installation created for the Hyundai Motor Group Exhibition Pavilion in Korea, the 2012 Yeosu EXPO site. The installation consists of a specially made huge steel construction to support thousands of stepper motors that control 320x320mm cubes that project out of the internal facade of the building. The foam cubes are mounted to actuators that move them forward and back by the steppers, creating patterns across the three-sided display. Comprised of what at first appear to be three blank white walls, Hyper-Matrix installation quickly comes to life as thousands of individual cubic units forming a field of pixels begin to move, pulsate, and form dynamic images across the room, creating infinite number of possibilities in the vertical, 180 degree, landscape. In addition, as the boxes are arranged at only 5mm narrow intervals, the wall can also be a nice moving screen for the images projected on to it. Hyundai Motor Group Pavilion (Intergrated Experience Hall), EXPO 2012, YEOSU, KOREA May 12 ~ Aug 12, Hyper-Matrix created by [media artist group : J o n p a s a n g], based in Seoul, Korea, led by Jin-Yo Mok in collaboration with Earl Park, Sookyun Yang, Sangwook Yu, Jinwook Yeo. website : http://jonpasang.com e-mail : info@jonpasang.com

Please follow me on Instagram @minhky.le to see what I'm up to and for some Behind the Scenes!! Thank you! http://instagram.com/minhky.le Thank you to all of the sites featuring my videos. - Three films reveal insights into the glaring contrast between home-prepared foods versus foods primed by a food stylist. Through the use of food dyes, cotton-ball stuffing, imitation ice, and an array of other clever devices, these films explore the many trickeries we are ever presented with by commercial industries in our everyday lives. It’s real food, but not really. - Directed, Filmed & Edited by Minhky Le Camera: Panasonic GH4 in 1080p 96fps, 60fps & 4K (compressed to a 1080p timeline). Settings: James Miller's settings - Cinelike V, -5 sharpness, -5 saturation, -5 noise reduction. Glass: Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 Edited and Graded: Premiere CC, FilmConvert. Sound: Foley was handled by borrowing sounds from all over the internet, and through VideoCopilot's sound packs and sampling originals. Details: The overall setup was extremely small. This video I used red contact paper, covering a surface of an IKEA table top, which cost me a total of $10-$15. The ingredients were hand-picked at the local super market making sure I maintained the mindset of a food stylist - picking the perfectly shaped and colored ingredients. I had taken a two-day Food Styling course by world renowned food stylist Denise Vivaldo who had offered me personal tips of food styling and chasing life goals. © 2014 Minhky Le

Zimoun Sound Architectures, Sculptures & Installations Compilation Video V.3.4 / Updated: February 27, 2015 HD 1920 x 1080 px Using simple and functional components, Zimoun builds architecturally-minded platforms of sound. Exploring mechanical rhythm and flow in prepared systems, his installations incorporate commonplace industrial objects. In an obsessive display of simple and functional materials, these works articulate a tension between the orderly patterns of Modernism and the chaotic forces of life. Carrying an emotional depth, the acoustic hum of natural phenomena in Zimoun's minimalist constructions effortlessly reverberates. More works & information: http://www.zimoun.net Next Events: http://zimoun.net/events.html Newsletter: http://www.zimoun.net/newsletter.html Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Zimoun/134817185765 HD Video Archive: http://vimeo.com/zimoun/videos/sort:plays _ «The sound sculptures and installations of Zimoun are graceful, mechanized works of playful poetry, their structural simplicity opens like an industrial bloom to reveal a complex and intricate series of relationships, an ongoing interplay between the «artificial» and the «organic». It‘s an artistic research of simple and elegant systems to generate and study complex behaviors in sound and motion. Zimoun creates sound pieces from basic components, often using multiples of the same prepared mechanical elements to examine the creation and degeneration of patterns.» Tim Beck «Zimoun is best compared to a watchmaker of a self-reproducing time constructing his own gauging station.» Radjo Monk «The clean, elegant sound sculptures combine visual, sonic, and spatial elements in an organically balanced entirely artwork. Using simple and well- conceived mechanical systems, Zimouns‘s work transforms and activates the space.» Jury Prix Ars Electronica 2010 «Zimoun creates complex kinetic sound sculptures by arranging industrially produced parts according to seemingly simple rules. Using motors, wires, ventilators, etc.., he creates closed systems that develop their own behavior and rules similarly to artificial creatures. Once running, they are left to themselves and go through an indeterminable process of (de)generation. These quasi autonomous creatures exist in an absolutely synthetic sphere of lifeless matter. However, within the precise, determinist systems creative categorioes suddenly reappear, such as deviation, refusal and transcience out of which complex patterns of behavior evolve.» Node10 «It is a poetic and humorous absurdity we find in Zimoun’s work, which opens up a wide, refreshing and enriching space for discoveries, associations and a multitude of approaches.» Nina Terry «The components used in Zimoun’s work are simple, functional and raw, whereas only aesthetically high-level and purposefully chosen elements and materials are used in minimalist fashion. Through radical reduction, Zimoun creates works of art which allow for a plethora of associations without being pinned down to a specific direction. Radical abstraction functions rather like a code in the background of things, thus elegantly avoiding an insinuation of direct, concrete attribution. Thanks to the abundance of mechanical activity, the range of perception, possibilities and interpretations is wide open.» Amanda Neumann «Indeed, one of the refreshing elements of this work is the immediacy with which one can understand the sound-making process, where each micro-event is present, visible, and concrete. Yet at the same time the resulting complexity of the total system, conjured before your eyes, defies any attempt to dissect it. You might find yourself feeling there is a «prime mover» at work behind the scenes, but in fact it is just the characteristic reaction of materials behaving together and in unison with the space of their activity. A magic of the real.» Xymara _ Website: http://www.zimoun.net _

Video & Music by Linden Hudson. Who is Linden Hudson? ++ CLASSICBANDS DOT COM said: “According to former roadie David Blayney in his book SHARP DRESSED MEN: sound engineer Linden Hudson co-wrote much of the material on the ZZ Top ELIMINATOR album.” (ZZ Top never gave Linden credit nor did they share royalties with him for his major contributions to ELIMINATOR) ++ LICKLIBRARY DOT COM (in 2013) ZZ TOP'S BILLY GIBBONS SAID: “the Eliminator sessions in 1983 were guided largely by another one of our associates, Linden Hudson, a gifted engineer, during the development of those compositions.” (end quote) (Gibbons admits these facts after 30 years, but offers Linden no apology or reparations for lack of credits/monies) ++ MUSICRADAR DOT COM (in 2013): Journalist Joe Bosso interviewed Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top guitarist). Gibbons broke 30 years of silence about Linden Hudson introducing synthesizers into ZZ Top's sound. Gibbons said: “This was a really interesting turning point. We had befriended somebody who would become an influential associate, a guy named Linden Hudson. He was a gifted songwriter and had production skills that were leading the pack at times. He brought some elements to the forefront that helped reshape what ZZ Top were doing, starting in the studio and eventually to the live stage. Linden had no fear and was eager to experiment in ways that would frighten most bands. But we followed suit, and the synthesizers started to show up on record.” ++ Read about Linden's shitty "Eliminator" album experience at: lindenhudson.com/fa-2 and lindenhudson.com/languages/ ++ Linden tells his story 30 years later. He's still living, but Linden is like a ghost returning to haunt Billy Gibbons. The internet made that possible. Maybe it's karma? Oh well, shit happens (right Billy?). +++ LINDEN HUDSON IS IN WIKIPEDIA (do a "find" on each page for Linden) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZZ_Top en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eliminator_(album) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharp_Dressed_Man en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legs_(song) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Got_Me_Under_Pressure en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TV_Dinners_(song) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_plagiarism +++ ABOUT THIS VIDEO: "RAYLENE": Model is Liz Ashley (has modeled for Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler). I filmed Natalie White in the spring of 2013 as part of a group show in New York called "Who shot Natlie White?" It's a collection of photographs, videos, paintings, etc, all based on artist/muse Natalie White. The show is still up at the Rox Gallery in Manhattan until mid-May. (86 Delancey St. @ Orchard) Natalie was fun to work with. She loves being on camera, and can natural, sexy, extravagent, humble, and everything in between. I brought here flowers cheeseburgers and coca-cola. She undressed in front of her large mirror, sang, took a bath, and ate lunch in bed. There was also a short nap :) Natalie talked about her current show, sex, politics, art, love and anything else I could think of. Nice afternoon. ~Andrew

Find me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pahnlart If life is a catwalk, run like a dog. 'Nowhere Near Here' is a stop motion animation that uses a combination of light with stencils and long exposure photography to tell the story of a dog running around the city at night, doing whatever a dog does. The animation was first exhibited at the The Herbert, in Coventry, on the 7th October 2010. With well over 300 hours in the making, more than 200 stencils involved and too many cold nights spent outside on my knees getting the shots, I am very happy (and relieved) to finally share this with you. Through the course of shooting 'Nowhere Near Here', I have dealt with curious drunks, a dog almost peeing on the camera (the irony is not lost on me, haha), the endlessly suspicious police and even someone nearly running off with a tripod. This is street art, this is life and thank you for watching. ...for those of you that may be interested in prints, a selection of film stills from 'Nowhere Near Here' are currently available at http://www.pahnl.co.uk/store.php Animation by Pahnl - pahnl.co.uk
