This interactive projection is only active when the audience engages with the work. As the viewer plays the keyboard, the midi signal triggers a specific video and sound for each white key. The black keys play actual notes, and if played, there is some semblance of melody regardless of whether the player knows how to play the keyboard. The videos are arranged by octaves and colors. The lower notes appear on the left of the screen and are green. As the notes get higher, they shift to yellow, then orange, then red on the right side of the screen. The colors mimic the lights of an audio equalizer (EQ). The more keys that are played, the more videos and sounds are triggered. The keyboard can be played in an intentional way to light particular areas of the screen or keys can be hit randomly. In this sense, the viewer becomes the composer for the piece. The videos and sounds are a collection of clips sampled from everyday life; generally they are close ups of mundane objects often overlooked. The collection of the ordinary comprises our everyday experience.

I am interested in the personification of our feelings towards and through our devices. It is not just our interactions, but I find the cyclical relationship that it builds becomes an interesting duality maintained by use. These range from our physical presence to our emotional connections we engrain in our technology. This piece anthropamorphises the feeling of awkwardness by engaging a reaction from the computer to the presence of a user. It disengages the responsive ease of communication between ourselves and our virtuality by disordering our interaction. When approach with interest or curiosity, it becomes shy and disappears.

This system captures de view's actions to later return them back to the environment processed as a generative sound in different ways, creating a paradox where the exhibitions space and the viewer become part of the artwork. The installation space consists of an action space fenced in by two green slate walls like a handball court, where the visitors can use chalk to write or draw their ideas relating to the exhibition proposal: The Artist as a catalyst: Find your voice and express yourself. This intervention setting will dialogue with the visitor by picking up the sound when they draw/write on the wall and altering it using a system of various computers controlled/influenced by sensors. The installation's system captures the activity using different types of microphones and sensors (cameras, movement sensors). Afterwards the sound which is picked up is returned to the environment as generative music with different feedback times, creating a paradox where the exhibition space and the spectator become material of the same work.
