        Magic Box reached out to The Scholars' Academy Principal Brian O'Connell for his thoughts on the two-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy. The Scholars' Academy, a high-achieving public middle and high school in the Rockaways, suffered extensive damage in the hurricane, and was closed for almost 4 months. 6th grade students at Scholars' worked with Magic Box Productions to make a documentary about their experiences in the hurricane and its aftermath. O'Connell shares how the filmmaking process aided in the rebuilding efforts for the school and its community.
