WE NEED YOUR HELP! Help us to support the valuable work that animal rights conservations do by attaching this video to your MySpace, Facebook or any website page that will be viewed by the public. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society are a non-profit animal rights organization that is actively involved in the protection of sea wildlife. They are currently out at sea intervening with the Japanese whaling ships with the hope of saving whales and stopping the illegal trade altogether. Their previous campaigns have cost the whaling trade millions of dollars, and their recent campaign has successfully prevented the death of any whales. Brisbane orchestral art-rock band, The Red Paintings, collaborated with the Sea Shepherd to record a Midnight Oil Cover of "Beds are Burning" now called "Whales are Dying" with lyrics written by Sea Shepherd's founder, Captain Paul Watson & Trash McSweeney and backing vocals sung by ships crew the night before their ship, the 'Steve Irwin', left Australia for their latest campaign in Antarctic waters. "With Peter Garrett being the current Australian Minister for the Environment who is allowing the Japanese to kill whales in our own backyard – the Australian Antarctic whale sanctuary, the irony of using a Midnight Oil cover parody of " Beds are Burning" called " Whales are Dying " we thought was perfect and straight to the point THE TIME TO STOP JAPAN FROM KILLING WHALES IS LONG OVERDUE" Said Trash McSweeney, song writer for The Red Paintings. For more information about how to donate to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society or to read updates written by the Captain and his crew out at sea, go to seashepherd.org or myspace.com/captainpaulwatson For FREE audio high quality download of the song or to listen to more of The Red Paintings tracks go to : http://theredpaintings.bandcamp.mu/ Thank You

All editing, post-production and animation by Simon Kennedy. http://www.myspace.com/simon_kennedy Original music by The Problem Being http://www.myspace.com/problembeing Starring The Problem Being and Peter Tompkins as The Construction worker. Make-up by Elizabeth Hsieh assisted by Irene Ferraro. http://www.truthbeauty.co.uk/ Costumes by Prangsta. http://www.prangsta.co.uk/ "This is my first music video, combining motion graphics with full animation and live footage. The video has a gothic, cartoon-like feel, which is reflected in the music. The video shows a construction worker, stopping by some mime artists on his way through the city. He tosses them a coin, and is surprised by an electrifying performance. The video is a performance video with a difference." The Problem Being would like to thank all those involved in the making of this video & the people who have stood by us and haven't given up on us in our painful quest to get this out there. The band would like to thank some people who have helped in the video as well as generally inspired us or been there for us in someway: Simon Kennedy (your belief and dedication has been carved in stone) & our make-up creatives, the UCL, Anna Sundlof, Stamatis Zografos, Stefan Schulz-Rittich, Ernesto Loeza-Ruiz, Tarquin & Cameron Sutherland, Juliett Cronk, Uolevi, Steven Carter, Robin Morrison, Nadege & Simon Kennet, Linda Oksanen, Selina M, Catasha Kin, Sotiris Varsamis, Listen Lisse, Martin & Theo (the odd couple for tea and twats), Seibold, Kate Way, The Lust Reality family, The Dirty Disco, The Bad Robots, Abbot Street Studios, Shoreditch, East London, Soho and there various haunts, Frankie D, Charlie & his Fighting Cocks, Jennifer Galler, Nina Pitt, Dan Flanagan, Psychik Chick, Marriane Blosche ;), our parents & grandparents, aunts and uncles, syblings and semi-syblings & long suffering housemates & friends too many to name. I have always loved this song from when I used to see Warpaint play live at Spaceland and The Echo in LA back in 2009. The song made me think of a ballerina dancing in the desert at dawn. The idea for this movie came about when I was not involved in the three-dimensional graphics. While I was trying to simulate a few scenes "under water". Of course I did not succeed because of lack of experience as such. There have been several attempts to "clean slate" with some regularity. Some time later, while working in an architectural office, I decided to try yet again, and once managed to make the first scene (Depot), I tried to animate the movement of the camera and do the same with the rest of the material that I was ready. Creating a movie was for me a supertask, but here is possibilities to achieve good picture were even so limited. As a result of insufficient capacity of some scenes had to be abandoned. Also had to simplify the scene themselves and the ocean surface. The entire rendering was performed on a home and several office workstations. In this project, I first tried After Effects and Premier, as well as sculpting in Mudbox. The result had this training video, as a sort of compilation of the various tools and techniques, under the soaring over the ocean solo by David Gilmour.

                  05:26

                  from Braden Lee Added 6,233 51 3

http://bradenlee.com • http://twitter.com/braden_lee FOSHAY draws inspiration from the first skyscraper west of the Mississippi, the Foshay Tower, and the man behind the spire. In his younger years, Wilbur Foshay was an art student with a fond appreciation for the Washington monument. "It is beautiful, but with windows it would be useful." He made his fortune buying public utilities and selling the stocks, using his money to fulfill a lifelong dream. Completing the tower in 1929, Foshay invited 25,000 guests to an elaborate three-day dedication ceremony. Cabinet members, senators and congressman received all-expenses paid trips. Half-nude dancers entertained. The military gave 19-gun salutes. Each guest received a gold pocket watch. John Philips Sousa conducted music, including a march he wrote just for the occasion. Two months later, Sousa's $20,000 check bounced. The market crashed. Foshay lost everything. Including the tower. In retaliation, Sousa prohibited the playing of the march so long as the debt remained outstanding. Much like the fictional Jay Gatsby, Foshay was a self-made man who tried to buy his way into a community, but was never accepted. He wanted something he could never be and, like Gatsby, took a tragic turn. In 1932, Foshay was convicted of mail fraud and sent to Leavenworth for running a pyramid scheme with his investors' money. He was pardoned a few years later, but died in relative obscurity. His tower stands today. And the name 'FOSHAY', in 10-foot letters, still lights up the Minneapolis sky, 400 feet above the earth. The names of those whose lives he coveted have mostly been forgotten, resting inches from the ground. ------------------------------------------ Greycoats is an art rock band from Minneapolis.
