Breakfast on the Bridge was a new event hosted by ArtsBuild in Chattanooga, Tennessee that took place on Saturday, May 2 from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. on the Walnut Street Bridge. Proceeds from the event benefitted ArtsBuild’s arts education programs in Hamilton County elementary schools. “We wanted to create a new event that could help raise funds for ArtsBuild’s education programs and be an event unlike anything else we have in the community,” said Patti Frierson, the event’s Chairperson. “Breakfast on the Bridge is unique in that it is a morning event where families and people of all ages can come down to the Walnut Street Bridge, have breakfast, and enjoy entertainment and many different art activities.” Most of the activities were geared toward children; however, there was plenty for adults to enjoy as well. Entertainment was provided by the Chattanooga Boys and Girls Choirs, Ballet Tennessee, and the Chattanooga Theatre Centre Youth Theatre, just to name a few. Breakfast was provided by local restaurants and included a variety of options including biscuits, scones, doughnuts, juice, and coffee.
