    • In Asia - Episode 1 - MALAYSIA

Read full description for detailed info. This is the first out of five Episodes about a trip to SouthEast Asia in Fall 2010. Stefan, Clemens and I were travelling in a Landrover through Malaysia, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia for 2 months. Of course, we brought our little DSLRs to capture every great moment of this memorable journey. Watch the trailer here: vimeo.com/22714098 Watch Episode 2 - THAILAND here: http://vimeo.com/32269712 Watch Episode 3 - LAOS here: http://vimeo.com/33352753 Watch Episode 4 - CAMBODIA here: http://vimeo.com/34551465 Watch Episode 5 - THAILAND / REPRISE here: http://vimeo.com/34895829 Filmed by Vincent Urban & Clemens Krüger Shot with Canon 7D Edited by Vincent Urban Music by: Uzi & Ari - "Mountain / Molehill" The Travelling Band - "Sundial" Episode 1 Info: 0:43 - Kuala Lumpur The city is an interesting clash of cultures, with the Muslim people, the Chinese traders, colonial buildings and a huge modern western influence. If you get a chance to go there, don't miss to eat and drink at Bukit Bintang (2:11), our most favorite place in the city. 2:48 - Port Klang After 5 days waiting and organizing the handling at the port, we could pick up our Landrover at the harbor. We just bought some supplies before heading North the same day (check out the map below) 4:02 - Cameron Highlands Already on the next day of driving, we realized that something was wrong with one of the bearings. We had extra parts for the car, however, we couldn't change it on our own. But because of the old colonial days, a majority of those people here in the mountains were driving Landrovers. Those cars were basically everywhere so it didn't take long to find some people that were able to help us. Those friendly locals took us to their house where they had some old-school tools and fixed the bearing. All they wanted in return is to drink some beer with us at a campfire at their house. Good people! 5:18 - Offroad Our Landrover-friends told us about some "nice little offroad" the next day. And this turned out to be a road that hasn't been used for years. We needed to get dead trees out the way and watch for ditches really carefully. It took us the whole day to get through and in the end, when it got dark we actually managed to slip into a ditch with one wheel. Our trip was almost over already at that time, it was a matter of inches for the car to fall down. I couldn't film this as I was pretty shocked and, of course, we needed work and pull out the car with the winch. But we were lucky enough to get it out and the trip continued. 6:02 - Road North After the Highlands, we quickly drove all the way North to Thailand, with a little stop-over at Georgetown.

BACKPACKERS: 2 boys. 3 countries. 23 days. Chapter I: VIETNAM Here's the first chapter of our Asian adventure. We spent six days in vietnam. Arrived in Ho Chi Minh City we stopped few days then we went down to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta, stopping first at Cu Chi. Last step was Chau Doc, where we boarded for Cambodia. What impressed me the most of Vietnam were friendliness and smiles and smiles of Vietnamese, as well as beautiful landscapes that leave you speechless. I literally fell in love with this country. A compilation of footage taken throughout Cambodia and Laos filmed on our one month trip this year. This is the final of a four part series. The music was taken from the soundtrack of one of my favourite movies called Sunshine. Cambodia and Laos were amazing places to visit. We are so used to rolling in and out of countries so quickly that taking our time through Cambodia was very refreshing and one of our favourite trips ever. The people and the sights are were fantastic and if you happen to get some time to spend in Laos then do so! It was definitely a highlight of our trip. * Cambodia Killing Fields: vimeo.com/14348090 * Cambodia Floating Villages: vimeo.com/14340728 * Cambodia Wats and Ruins: vimeo.com/14693261

Many people don't understand why some choose to travel on a bicycle. I was one of them... then I tried it. Now I don't want to do it any other way. This video is an attempt at providing a glimpse into the challenging, exciting, and incredibly rewarding world of cycle touring. The clips are from a Summer 2007 trip, about 4500kms from Kashgar, Xinjiang, to Dali, Yunnan (in China) crossing Tibet along the way.
