See a report from Jerome Quinn at the 2013 FEXCO Asian Gaelic Games in Kuala Lumpur. More than 700 players on 60 teams played 200 games over the weekend of October 12/13. The Middle East lifted several pieces of silverware, including the Derek Brady Cup for Senior A men. Qatar were boosted by Donegal All Ireland winner Ryan Bradley and Armagh's Michael Stevenson. Shanghai Ladies ended a 4-year winning run by Singapore Lions after a superb Ladies Final. But it wasn't just about competition. The Asian Games was a coming together of Irish and non-Irish from across a vast area for a superb weekend of friendship and fun. 'It was an outstanding fantastic success', said Asian County Board Chairperson Joe Trolan. A production by Jerome Quinn Media, on Twitter @JeromeQuinn

Irish broadcasting legend Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh was full of praise for the 2013 FEXCO Asian Games on the opening day at Putrajaya near Kuala Lumpur on Saturday October 12. 'Some people have travelled five thousand miles to be there' said Mícheál, who is Honorary President of the Asian County Board. 'But the locals from the Orang club deserve all the credit.
