Help support our crowd funding campaign, we aim to produce a live, global broadcast of the only total solar eclipse in 2013, with commentary from Astronaut and Space Shuttle commander Ken Ham, physicist and astronomer Dr. Rhodri Evans & NASA astronaut trainer Michelle Ham. A two hour live feed will allow our team of experts to be fully interactive with our audience. • We are the International Space School Educational Trust, a UK registered charity that aims to encourage young people to aim high and give them the tools to succeed in whatever they want to do in life. Drawing from the NASA 'you can do it spirit' we use space exploration to promote Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM).

A time-lapse movie made from my amateur astronomy club's (CALA) observatory, in France, during the night when the famous Perseid meteor shower reached its peak this year - that is, 12-13 august, 2013. Too bad I had no sound record of our awe at seeing every single shooting star (and there were dozens)! The frames were shot with a Canon EOS 40D camera equipped with a lens set at a 10mm focal length. I assembled them with a small and cheap Mac OS X software, Time-Lapse, with 2-frame tweening for better seeing of the shooting stars.

Another time-lapse movie made from my amateur astronomy club's (CALA) observatory, in France, in an attempt to capture a few Perseids in the 12-13 august, 2013 night. Next time, I'll record the awed shouts we threw each time we were seeing a shooting star! The frames were shot with a Canon EOS 7D camera equipped with a 8mm fisheye lens. I assembled them with a small and cheap Mac OS X software, Time-Lapse, with 2-frame tweening for better seeing of the shooting stars.

                • Perseid Meteor Shower 2013 - "Let's Dance" (InFiction String Remix) by David Bowie

** Watch in HD resolution** My latest video provides over six minutes of footage from recent nights in 2013 during the Perseid Meteor Shower. The slower, mostly horizontal lights are airplanes. The brief flashes of mostly vertical streaks are the meteors (a few slower ones are satellites). Many meteors are faint, so you'll only see most of them if you follow the instructions above and change the viewing resolution to HD and expand the video full screen. For the soundtrack, the timelapse video of the Perseid meteor shower is set to the InFiction String Remix of David Bowie's "Let's Dance", as featured in the recent Kia commercial (used with permission). For best results and to see the most meteors, be sure and watch it in HD resolution and full screen. All images © 2013 Jeff Sullivan. • Star of Bethlehem - Introduction

"Introduction" is a short motion-graphics movie introduction taken from the full length documentary The Star of Bethlehem. "For thousands of years, countless generations have been captivated by the story of how the stars foretold the coming of Christ. And it has been difficult to see how the scientific and historical clues fit together…until now." The challenge for Vidano Films was to adapt Mr. Larson's research and stage presentation to the screen in a way that would carry the same amount of "emotional punch" while conveying a large amount of analysis and data. In the end we realized that part of "the story" needed to include Mr. Larson's turbulent journey as he sought to discover the truth about the star. With the help of Julie Larson's beautiful, heart-warming score, The Star of Bethlehem has been seen by literally millions, and has come alive in new and refreshing ways to people all around the world. THE STORY: It’s an astronomical mystery. A strange star is claimed to have appeared at the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. This documentary is an investigation of the story found in the Biblical Gospel of Matthew. It brings the words of Roman and Jewish historians alongside the visions of ancient prophets. It mixes “modern” mathematicians with murderous turmoil in the Roman imperial court. It combines all these with astronomical facts. And it concludes that the star was a real event. What others are saying... "A convincing case...a mystery solved” Former Director, NASA Dryden Flight Research Center "This explanation of the Star is compelling...” NASA's Chief Engineer for the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station "Well-researched and reasonable” Former Chief of Planetary Astronomy, NASA, and Technical Editor, Sky & Telescope magazine "Wide-ranging and insightful scholarship” President, American Association for the Advancement of Science
